does it create a Windows.old for you?
I think it does, but don't quote me on that. I don't trust Windows; I keep my data partitioned off.
I didn't hash check it but I did burn at the slowest speed possible :/ how do I hash check it anyway?
http://www.implbits.com/HashTab.aspx Adds a tab in the properties dialog so that you can compare the checksums.
You will be able to upgrade for only 40$ until January 24th afaik.
Did not help, it is still only showing 58MB available. [editline]24th July 2012[/editline] Woop, got Windows 8 installed and working.
How did you fix the 58MB thing? My mate's SD card did the same thing last night when he was trying to format it.
For the love of God I can not install this stupid OS... I keep getting a files missing error when its Getting files ready for installation.. I've redownloaded the ISO like 4 times and burned it to a disk each time.. Same error >:(.. Please help lol
I had this problem. In the end it was because I had an awful internet connection and the download kept getting corrupted. To get a good version, I downloaded it from someone else's house who had a great connection and it worked fine.
Torrents are really the best for this type of thing; they can redownload any corrupted chunk of the file. It's too bad that they're viewed as only a pirate tool.

Build 2012 coming this late October / early November: http://www.buildwindows.com/
Has anyone else experienced that, after leaving Chrome open for a significant amount of time, it will no longer be linked to the taskbar? I've had it happen around ~5 times now, and Chrome will appear to be not running, but the actual browser is just sitting open on the desktop. Alt tabbing to it gets to it, but clicking on the taskbar icon just opens another instance.
Quick question, how many times can you use windows 7 keys now a days? I own the box of home premium and have used it like 3 times on my own computers. Was wondering if I could use it more times?

You have to wait a couple of weeks before using it again though.
http://www.zdnet.com/valve-windows-8-is-a-catastrophe-for-pcs-7000001634/
He's just perpetuating the "Windows 8 sucks" party because it comes with its own app store, which is a threat to Steam.
