Can't wait for the specs to the Microsoft Surface Tablet for Windows 8 Pro. (RAM), (Price), (Physical Dimensions), (Expected Battery Life)
I'm really not sure what i think about Windows 8. I think the start screen is okay, i just dont know if it supports all the games and programs i have.
Because I always buy things because colors
500-700$? I think i'll pass.

I'm gonna give Surface a chance. Windows RT hasn't had a chance to develop an app market.
It's been over a year. You'd expect a little something by now.
There was really no market or demand for it. With Surface's price point there still might not be, but as long as the browser is solid I don't really give a shit. I've had enough of Android for a lifetime and I'm not buying an iPad or using my HP Touchpad anytime soon. [editline]16th October 2012[/editline] Just look at Windows Phone though, it's taken a while to age but it's getting there.

And the Surface is still to expensive to go in at this point. $500 for virtually nothing, it's a waste of money.
$500 for a tablet with virtually no apps. No thank you.
Windows 8 -> Bluestacks
All tablets are "a waste of money." They're portable web browsers at best.
Depends on what you use it for. Other people might use it for different things.

I'm lacking no functionality on my device that isn't hardware related, and WP8 seems to make up for that.

It comes with its own version of Office 2013, which will be nice for school, it has a web browser, music player, will probably support Netflix. I don't like the concept of having desktop apps on such a tiny thing. 10.6 inches is wayyyyy to tiny of a display for me to be productive. And if Surface Pro isn't under $1000 then we'll be relying on OEMs like Lenovo to not fuck up what a great market Windows 8 can be in the mobile space.

Ladies and gentlemen, do we forget the iPhone's humble beginnings? When it launched, it didn't even have the capability for apps. Then the app market arrived with a handful, and it grew. Exponentially. Today, the app store sits at a cool 696,000 apps. That's a lot of apps. Granted, it's taken quite a while to get this far. However, I do believe we'll see large numbers of apps in the Microsoft store by year's end. Also, consider how many devices Windows 8 will launch on. When the iPhone started, it was just the iPhone. Then the iPod Touch, the iPad, now the iPad mini, and so on. With Windows 8, it's going to have more platforms at launch, creating an incentive to make and publish apps for it. Let's not count it a flop yet. Let's wait until there's actually a need to make apps before we condemn it for not having apps.

With Microsoft coming in several years late and way behind the competition is only hurting them. Why go with the Microsoft product when iOS and Android have already matured? It's not a sensible option. When the iPhone released, there wasn't a better alternative which would make people lose interest in it. It's not the same situation nor the same circumstances, therefor the app growth on Windows isn't going to be the same. I'd rather get an iPad then wait 6 years for the Surface to catch up. Not to mention iOS and Android are purpose built and not some hybrid OS that's bloated and has all sorts of cruft under the hood. For the kind of money it cost, there's no reason to chose a Windows tablet over the competition. They could even have better hardware, but that's not the only aspect to it.
Depends on what you use it for. Looking forward to upgrading to Windows 8 (don't hurt me).
