Thanks for the answers guys Really don't know whether to get it or not, I use a program called K10STAT which overclocks my processpr (A8-3500m), does anybody know if this would work for Windows 8?
Just updated my bios and set up fast boot. RTM was still way faster boot wise for some reason. The Windows logo used to flash up for half a second and then I was in.

Also they don't really explain this since it doesn't matter for most of the people, but the restart and shutdown options in Windows 8 actually work differently. If you select shutdown and then start it again, your computer will start much faster than if you select restart. When you select shutdown Windows 8 hibernates the kernel session, so it doesn't actually completely restart. I believe they call it hybrid boot. If you select restart it does a full restart and it loads everything from scratch, so it takes a bit longer.

I think when I installed the RTM it installed it normally without the Windows boot manager partition and in non-UEFI mode. Now it has.
How is virtualization support in Win8? Last time I tried to use it in a VM it didn't have pointer integration :v
Tripping out in Win8, did a clean install with my upgrade key. This metro shit is whack.
Wow, windows 8 is awesome. After I got metro organized to my liking, and adjusted several other settings, it's really nice. It boots up in about 15-20 seconds on my hdd, it's fast and it looks nice. No regrets so far. Is there any way to make the shortcut icons for metro bigger? They look a bit out of place.

Edited: [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/Z2yU8.png[/img_thumb] Metro Commander works quite well, love how you can change the background, if only that was possible with everything.

Going to take some getting used to, but i am liking windows 8 The performance from my laptop is amazing, as well as generating less heat
We need to start compiling a database of Metro Tile images for the rest of the internet to use... Someone set up a domain with uploading or a dropbox or something. I'm off to bed. :v:
Windows 7 decided it was it's weekend to start crashing applications and causing driver issues so I just clean installed to Windows 8. I'm happier than I thought but frustrated with some things like not being able to do Windows Key then start typing but maybe I'm missing something..

Was thinking about getting tile8.com anyone got a better suggestion?

You can do winkey + type something fine. You can also do winkey + q, w, or e to search for apps, settings, or files respectively.

How do I get permission from SYSTEM to make changes to that folder?
I keep going to touch the screen in the way i use my transformer prime. Also ive noticed that chrome running on desktop, then chrome running in metro are two separate programs
I know I posted this here two months ago, but since more people have Windows 8, here is the app I made which is currently in the Top Free Social Apps. Love your app, well.... until Google's stocks took a nose dive!
So I'm guessing Windows 8 is really good and much better than people have been making it out to be?
[QUOTE=Lyoko774;38207837]You are missing something. You can do winkey + type something fine. I'm just so used to a little box popping up and showing the results rather than my entire screen.
