A friend of mine said it doesn't work if you didn't really buy a pc within two months, but I have no clue how they would differentiate
You have to to type in your windows license key.

Before you didn't have to put in anything.
Yeah, but it has to be a recent windows 7 key...
Oh, even worse!

Whenever I try to save images to anywhere but 'My Pictures' or my desktop, Windows tells me that I don't have permission to save in that location. I am an administrator and I have put UAC on its lowest setting, but apparently that doesn't necessarily mean that it's completely disabled?
That's odd... I can't share pictures to Facebook using the share charm when I'm in my pictures library section on the pictures app but I can from the Skydrive and Facebook sections.
Yeah, but it has to be a recent windows 7 key...
How recent?
How recent?
June 2012> [editline]4th November 2012[/editline] would it be wrong to ask me friend who bought a laptop after the allotted time and hates windows 8 for him to get me a promo code [editline]4th November 2012[/editline] too late for an answer
is there a list of recent win 7 keys somewhere?
if you have friends ask them if they bought a laptop/computer in the last 3 months and just make up something
is there a list of recent win 7 keys somewhere?
In the package after you bought one.
If you want to be sketchy, go into a best buy or whatever and take a picture of the key on the side of a desktop PC.
If you want to be sketchy, go into a best buy or whatever and take a picture of the key on the side of a desktop PC.
that's actually a good idea, but how old are floor models?

Anyone know how to fix my clock being 3 hours fast? It's 7:57 here, but on Windows 8 it says 10:57. And yes my settings are correct, using EST. My fix right now is just using the PST setting, but I'd like to not have to do that.
