Yeah, you shouldn't be an early adopter on a production system.
Yep, I've learned my lesson. Problem with going back to 7 is, I have to re-install all my stuff for the 5th time in the past 2 months.
Yeah, you shouldn't be an early adopter on a production system.
Some of the things I've heard from early adopters of the last 4 versions of windows, makes me glad I always wait a few months minimum. I see the people who go out and buy it straight away as testers in an open beta. Talking to a friend on steam just after the launch of 7: "Why are you still on XP, man?" "I want to see how things go first" "Don't worry! You're missing out" Friend has disconnected. A few minutes later, he's back: "Damn graphics driver" "Your computer just explained why I don't have 7 yet." 7 was pretty quick to become solid, so I have high expectations of 8.
My Task Manager wants to make game levels. [t]http://puu.sh/1nNX8[/t] See? It's already making the spikes! Oh god I love these graphs :v:
That's a not a reason to ignore someone or even something. If something went wrong for him and caused him a bad experience, then it could easily happen to someone else. No matter what the product is.
Pretty much all he does is bitch about things that everybody else doesn't have a problem with, it's just exagerating, you'd know if you frequent the android thread
I'm starting to regret going to windows 8. Why? 1. It crashes and freezes all the time. 2. Some of my VST's have licensing issues and thats keeping me from doing my work. 3. Ableton Live likes to lag and crash all the time (which also keeps me from my work).
The only problem I seem to be having with my audio workstation is Windows 8 seems to be much tighter on admin privileges which is causing me issues with some older VSTs. Could have been much worse, I use this system daily for audio and video production. I should have took a drive image before I upgraded just in case. I've decided I'm sticking to Start8. 15 years of having the start menu in that sort of format is hard to unlearn.

Why is that dialog so large for a single one line text box, holy shit.
Why is that dialog so large for a single one line text box, holy shit.
Because they didn't update the export text form since Office 2000(?) [editline]8th November 2012[/editline] Microsoft can't make Windows/Office consistent.
Because they didn't update the export text form since Office 2000(?)
It never needed to be that big in the first place, unless O2000 had options or something in that massive wasteful space.
It never needed to be that big in the first place, unless O2000 had options or something in that massive wasteful space.
To be fair, the dialog before it has more in it.
So I figured I should try a clean install using the built in reset thingy and I chose for completely wiping the drive. 6 hours later and it was at 50%. Never doing that again.

My 486 laptop with like Microsoft Works 4.0 has that flag I believe. Or maybe its Publisher, I can't remember. Either way, its really goddamn old.
Windows 95 called, they want their flag back :v
I sure hope that isn't a final build otherwise it knocks me sick that you pay so much for something so shit
I sure hope that isn't a final build otherwise it knocks me sick that you pay so much for something so shit
Judging by how old that flag is I'm going to say it's still in the final build.
why has this been happening since i got windows 8? i think it's got something to do with AVG, i have the 2012 free edition [editline]8th November 2012[/editline] that was taken when i was just sitting at the desktop [editline]8th November 2012[/editline]
and use what?
I'm not gonna use anything in Windows 8.
AVG just tried a hostile takeover on my PC when i tried to shut it down
AVG just tried a hostile takeover on my PC when i tried to shut it down
You see, never trust them AV.
Windows Defender is already installed by default. Anything else you install is just competing with it.
i have defender turned off
well turn it back on and use it instead of anything else

Everyone who had problems uploading to tile8.com, it should be fixed right now. Also managed to up the quality on generated small tiles so its no longer pixelated.
