He checked to make sure it wouldn't cause seizures in epileptics via that program.
You do realize that could cause seizures in some people, right?
Yeah, well so can ambulance lights, ironically.

Is there a way to boot to desktop? I tried making a scheduled task to open explorer.exe than ran on logon but it didn't work.

So my Windows Backup disc, which was the only way I was ever going to get my computer up and running again, finally arrived one fuckin week late. I've been needing my computer for a while and it's just so happens they have to delay the arrival. Fuck you Microsoft. Learn to be more god damned punctual. On a related note, I'm ecstatic my computer works again.
So, I'm planning to finally upgrade from Windows XP to 8 soon, is there anything important I should know about besides the new start screen? The OP just talks about differences between 7 and 8, but I'm guessing the changes are a lot more drastic going three versions up instead of just one.

And you should know about Aero Snap, probably one of the most useful features since Vista. Simply grab a window and drag to either side or the top - it'll fill either the half or whole screen. There's a lot of other stuff, but it should be fairly natural. Besides, there's probably more than I'd ever care to write in one post, look up a Windows 8 review, it'll probably describe most of the differences.

I know it seems unneeded, but sometimes I do want more than two windows showing at the same time.

I just started getting a problem with Windows 8. I've seen it after I installed the AMD catalyst control center. Steam and some apps show strange text errors and things kind of flicker between normal and really small, condensed text and sentences. Artifacts kind of show up at random on steam too, usually when more than one windows is up. Any ideas? [editline]29th December 2012[/editline] my 'People' app shows off a black+white background instead of just the white now.

It's under 3D application settings in CCC.

I have a Windows8 promo code Microsoft keeps bugging me to use (its for the $40 upgrade), but I already have Windows 8. Anybody want it? Can I even give it away?

Restarted my VM to apply an update, it gets stuck at updating 1/51 for two hours until I force the process to close, now it's attempting to repair itself Simply amazing. Shouldn't it make a system restore point before updates like this?
How would I extend the Windows 7 partition using that block of unallocated space?
