Anyone here had problems running Morrowind? - dying to upgrade.
Anyone here had problems running Morrowind? - dying to upgrade.
Chances are it'll work just fine. I had a bunch of compatibility flags in the upgrade assistant, but I've yet to experience any problems.
probably if you have a ton of shit
One 48gb SSD almost full, one 1tb almost full. But it is still going!
Abort and boot from a dvd or something, otherwise you'll get an instable Windows anyway
Abort and boot from a dvd or something, otherwise you'll get an instable Windows anyway
I'll have to order one, and I don't much like the idea of giving up when I have waited so long. It is stil "getting a few things ready" :(
Can't you burn one?
Don't have a large enough disk, is there any change of doing it with external HDD? and also where would I download it from?
I recently did a Windows Refresh because my Sony Vegas 12 was fucking me over. The refresh worked brilliantly, I didn't however get the option choose what programs I wanted to keep etc (the only things that got saved was my documents and personalization settings). My brother called me up on my cellphone after he noticed I Went MIA when I Refreshed and when I told him what happened he explained that there's a modification that allows you to do the option-thingy for programs. Is that correct? If so, fucking crap.
I don't know if I have to ask this here, but i'll ask anyways. I just installed a Sandisk SSD 128GB and put windows 7 on it. I get very nice program loading times, and it loads massive amounts of programs in little time, but I feel like the boot speed isn't enough for what the SSD is. I get almost 10 seconds from the selection of OS, to the login screen, and 1 second to desktop. Is my CPU (Intel Pentium Dual Core E5300 @ 2,6 GHz x 2) bottlenecking my SSD? Thanks.
Can someone PM me a program to make custom tiles? I don't want to use the one on the market. I used one that let me select the picture and write a shortcut to the program, and it let me select if I wanted a small or big tile. Thanks! [editline]11th January 2013[/editline] Nevermind! Just found something!

How/where do I get custom start menu icons like this?: [img_thumb]http://i1.minus.com/ibcuDvtNJ3SElr.png[/img_thumb] Like WoW, Minecraft, Steam, etc.

[editline]12th January 2013[/editline] Metro's pretty fun when you have icons that match. [t]http://i.imgur.com/gc85k.png[/t] [editline]12th January 2013[/editline] Does this look tacky? It looks better without the transparency, the icons stand out much more
I remember someone/some people in here have a VivoTab RT. Anyone getting issues where sometimes the screen flickers and goes blank (not off) when undocking and you need to restart the tablet to use it again?
windows 8 isn't any better or worse than the other windows bootloaders. [editline]10th January 2013[/editline] as far as linux goes
I've always been a GRUB guy myself.
Well my Vivo Tab developed a phantom touch sometime over the week. Fuck Asus tablets, seriously.
Using my Windows 8 Desktop with my Surface RT using Mouse Without borders -- AWWWW YEEEAH. The experience on my Surface RT was already scarily similar to the experience on my desktop -- the workaround for desktop app signing and the open source favorites that get ported can only bring things closer!
Well my Vivo Tab developed a phantom touch sometime over the week. Fuck Asus tablets, seriously.
Oh hey, just like Samsung tablets! Fuck OEMs that can't make quality hardware. At least I know the Surface is going to be quality.
where's a good site with matching (same icon size) tiles? I tried one of the packs on deviantart, but it didn't really seem very consistent.
None, really. The one I downloaded has the nicest in my opinion and it has 600+ (900?) icons.
did I do good? [editline]12th January 2013[/editline] I feel like oblytile makes everything a really low resolution, because the tiles were immaculate in photo viewer, and now it's full of noise and aliasing. :(
Oh hey, just like Samsung tablets! Fuck OEMs that can't make quality hardware. At least I know the Surface is going to be quality.
That's the thing - the Surface isn't, either. Emblem on the back fades real quick, the keyboard cover comes undone if you fold it back even a few times, the magnets for the keyboard cover come out of the frame, and the charger, even though it's magnetically attached, doesn't quite "hit" the charging pins every time. I picked Asus because I liked the Transformer style, although I knew their tablets had QC issues. When mine was fine out of the box I didn't think it would develop problems 2 months afterwards.

Eh I watched the news coming out of CES and like the Thinkpad Helix and Vizio (if there's a keyboard dock) a lot more. 1080p, 11.6" screen. Might be a better balance for me between tablet and laptop than getting a 10.6" (and why can't someone do a 2x DPI display already)
