Wrong font (I think), terrible alignment.
I don't think Windows 8 uses gradients in the UI, except for the icons.
Why don't you take a screenshot of a login screen in any of the metro apps (I think Evernote had a nice one), and work from that?

Worthy concept art?
Remove the capital F so it fits Windows 8's standard
A more serious suggestion: Show the list of sub-forums with a login dialog in front of it.

Here's a lame paint mockup.
Actually, now that I think about it, a red background would probably suck.

Man, fuck anti-aliasing.

I was actually doing that but the fp logo fucked up and I wasn't happy with it

???
Good shade of red, make the FP logo white.
Make the text boxes smaller, further apart from the FP logo, they probably should be aligned to fit with the FP logo, right now they are too low it seems.
Metro buttons don't have round corners.
Move sign up and help (I know I put mine here but I just got a better idea) to the menu (right click).
Instead of a dedicated help button, there probably should be something like a "Wrong password. Need help?" message.
The textboxes being stuck together doesn't look right to me. They should at least have a 2 pixel gap or some sort of gap

I don't know why the fuck fireworks put round corners when I stated it was a rectangle, I'll fix it up shortly.
And I'll put some concepts of logging in later, I'm going to sleep.

This is what microsoft does on WP7 - make a gap between them.
If you're going to make an app, follow the Metro UI guidelines to make it look nice, clean, consistent, etc: http://blendinsider.com/technical/ux-guidelines-for-metro-style-app-development-2011-10-21/

Your padding isn't even, or appropriately used.
A good design is also pixel perfect, and lines up as many elements as possible. Yours has buttons all over the place and few elements lined up.
I've highlighted a few things you can do. (The final design should have as few lines close together as possible, they just look bad to the eye)

you might say that this is only a draft design, but the more effort you put into the initial design the better the final application will be every single time.
Microsoft Security Essentials got the Metro look.

I see a gradient, that's not metro. What was it like before?

Still not metro enough

Not that it should be
I know what I was doing was wrong, I seem to follow my own design way.
I'll do something better later
How much space is required to install this?
Looks very promising, though I'm short on space at the moment.

Windows 8?
You need to wipe your whole HDD so I don't think you won't have enough space

I and a friend were making a theme like that for 8. But then he was busy with school and I got lazy.
late, but its a very nice idea for a desktop interface.

Skype looks insanely sexy.
Microsoft couldn't pull that off if they tried, it would still have win9x era icons splurged everywhere.

I'll give it a shot, problem is I have 5 weeks of exams starting a week from now so you'll have to wait.

I still wonder why they haven't revamped those yet.
I still wonder why they haven't revamped those yet.
I notice some are still used for some shit in system32. I think Microsoft can't be fucked changing them besides most of them are never used
MS unfortunately won't be revamping the desktop UI anytime soon since they think people will prefer Metro over it.

I think it will sell, on phones and tablets anyway, people seem to like things dumbed down.
