There is a Jailbreak for iOS 6? Does it work on the iPhone 5?
There is a Jailbreak for iOS 6? The new iPod touch uses an A5 chip actually.

Please cite this, because I'm pretty sure only A4 devices can be jailbroken and it's tethered. [editline]6th October 2012[/editline] Also there is no A3, and like stated above the iPod Touch 5th gen runs an A5. Forgive me but it sort of looks like you don't exactly know what you're talking about with regards to Apple's CPUs.

Well, maybe A3 doesn't exist, even if I heard of it. [editline]6th October 2012[/editline] Yes A3 exist -.- http://iphonesnepal.blogspot.it/2012/03/apple-a3-a4-a5-a5x-chip-on-iphone.html?m=1
A5 is jailbreakable, it's not my fault if you don't know how-to. Well, maybe A3 doesn't exist, even if I heard of it.
Explain how then. All tech news says it's A4 only. If you're incapable of describing how then it can only be determined that it can't be done. I will eagerly await your response. It was just a downclocked Samsung APL0298C05.
Here you go, valuable source. http://greenpois0n.com/2012/01/your-wait-is-finally-over/
Here you go, valuable source. http://greenpois0n.com/2012/01/your-wait-is-finally-over/
That's for 5.1.1 you idiot, the post is from January. The number 6 doesn't appear ANYWHERE in that entire post, just on the download links for x86 and x64.
I thought there was a jailbreak for the A5 based iDevices.
Pepper;37939831']I thought there was a jailbreak for the A5 based iDevices.
Not for iOS 6. You can use the current redsn0w to jailbreak A4 ones although it's tethered so it's somewhat of an annoyance. Nobody has ever presented to me a way to jailbreak A5,A5X, or A6 devices either tethered or untethered running iOS 6. If they can do it, good for them, because they've found what nobody else could.
Would it be worth upgrading to IOS 6 on my iPod touch 4g from 5.0.1 now or should i wait for an untethered jailbreak for IOS6?
Someone said online that they went from iOS5 to iOS 6 on their iPhone 3GS, expecting it to be even slower, but they said it breathed a breath of fresh air into their device and made it a lot faster, so I'd say it's worth it unless you really need the jailbreak
Pepper;37945326']Would it be worth upgrading to IOS 6 on my iPod touch 4g from 5.0.1 now or should i wait for an untethered jailbreak for IOS6?
imo nothing in ios6 warrants a "must update", from my 5.1.1 untethered jb-ed iphone 4. I'll wait patiently for the untether. besides, im perfectly happy with ios 5.1.1
I upgraded to iOS 6 NOW MY HOUSE IS LOCATED IN A FOUNTAIN IN THE PHILLIPINES!
imo nothing in ios6 warrants a "must update", from my 5.1.1 untethered jb-ed iphone 4. I'll wait patiently for the untether. besides, im perfectly happy with ios 5.1.1
This is the right choice. Because I updated to 6.0 like a dumbass on my iPad 2 and lost out on the jailbreak. AND I can't downgrade. Stay with 5.1.1 until an untethered jailbreak comes out! EDIT: Actually, just stick with 5.1.1. You get YouTube and Google Maps.
So @like_a_sir and a few other guys formed a team called TeamDr1zzle and they claim to be pretty close to finishing an untethered iPhone 5/4S/4/3GS on iOS 6 jailbreak. Currently being verified by p0sixninja. Pretty skeptical but let's see what happens. All the updates are going on through Twitter. http://www.idigitaltimes.com/articles/11659/20121008/ios-6-untethered-jailbreak-iphone-5-team-nears-finish.htm# Fingers crossed. I want to jailbreak this thing so bad. I'm never going to update to a non-jail breakable version ever again. Stupid ass choice.
mmm I'm skeptical too, I had to wait some time for a 5.1 jailbreak
Does anyone here already have an iPhone 5? If so, how long does your battery last? [editline]9th October 2012[/editline] With what usage.
Does anyone here already have an iPhone 5? If so, how long does your battery last? [editline]9th October 2012[/editline] With what usage.
Yep. Lasts two days regular usage. Usage screen reports about 9-10 hours screen on time per charge (rarely listen to music).
Well fuck my phone.. it barely lasts one day. I'll try resetting through DFU then. People say this should help a bad battery.
You have an iPhone 5? Then yeah restore and set up as new. Doubled my battery life.
Its a feature :v:
Ordered mine a few days ago, expected to be delivered later this month. I think it's absolute shit that I have to wait for something that should have enough units in production, but that's what you get. By the time I get mine, the iPhone 6 should be making an appearance...
There is also the fact that foxconn workers went on strike which is bound to cause delays.
They told me I would get my iPhone 5 in November. I got it 3 days later.
Honestly I can see why they want to go on strike. People are so petty about a few scratches. When you're working with aluminum you're going to have scratches.
I don't give a shit about the scratches (had 2 small ones). But the purple tint is annoying. Even though it only appears when taking a picture in direct light.
Honestly I can see why they want to go on strike. People are so petty about a few scratches. You didn't mean that, right? you're aware that we're talking about overworked people in terrible conditions, with some suicides and all that? They're basically slaves over there.
Well damn. That dwaynefortman guy posted a video of his phone jail broken (although his Cydia is crashing which he's apparently trying to fix). That just made it infinitely more convincing. On the other hand, there was a hackers conference yesterday attended by a few of the big names in jail breaking, like musclenerd, chpwn, p0six (I believe), etc. where they had shared work of an iOS 6 exploit and showed Cydia running live. So we're getting pretty close to a public jailbreak it seems. Expect good news soon.
