ugh I don't like want to sound like an ungrateful prick but the jailbreak world always sound like such a circlejerk
So first time after I reboot my iDevice (iPhone 4S) since iOS 6 my connection to my Internet has been rubbish, slow video loading etc. however my network is fine and it also shows me I got full bar connection most of the time. Inside te new YouTube app the videos are all grainy. If I load then in safari it's good quality, but te video stops from time to time to load. I never experienced this before, any help?
my internet seems to be much slower in iOS 6 on a 4 so it's not just you
Using iOS 6 on a 4S and am very pleased. No problems occured so far. :)
My phone must dislike me, seriously I've treated it as a god. See I charge it at 5%. Now suddenly when I charge its so fucking hot. [editline]10th October 2012[/editline]
my internet seems to be much slower in iOS 6 on a 4 so it's not just you
Why do people even rate you dumb just because you tell what you're experiencing, it's nice to know it's not just me.
someone's butthurt that I called the jailbreak scene a circlejerk
Opinions
Opinions
having a different opinion makes me dumb :'( sa spyder really showed me to think for myself

well all mobile development is highly circlejerky xda-developers is a kissass station all the ios jailbreakers are like "cool names and shit wow look at me" its all dumb
well all mobile development is highly circlejerky xda-developers is a kissass station all the ios jailbreakers are like "cool names and shit wow look at me" its all dumb
I jailbroke because I see apple to be fuckers who doesn't want people to customize stuff. However in the end I got tired of my jailbreak. It's fun to brag with in school but what use do I really have other than maybe getting cool effects or free apps? Seriously who can't afford a couple of apps, I buy what I enjoy end of story.
i jailbroke for themes and biteSMS the horrid performance as a result of both doesn't outweigh what they bring to the table biteSMS is also very prone to crashing
i jailbroke for themes and biteSMS the horrid performance as a result of both doesn't outweigh what they bring to the table biteSMS is also very prone to crashing
What the heck is biteSMS?
it's a third party SMS program that has a really convenient access method hit the volume rocker, tap on the volume icon and you can send a text from there
someone's butthurt that I called the jailbreak scene a circlejerk
Because someone else doesn't know the first thing about the JB scene. He thinks a bunch of fakers on twitter equal the entirety of the jailbreak scene. So somebody's misinformed as shit. The truth is, it's an organized team of hackers. No, I'm not talking about those idiots waving their shit on twitter. I'm talking about the guys who just attended a conference dedicated to cracking iOS security. It's hardly a 'circlejerk' since it serves millions of customers and, by extension, makes iOS more secure. There's a reason it isn't riddled with garbage and spyware like some other mobile operating systems. I was going to type that earlier but got lazy and rated you dumb instead, so I apologize for the immaturity. I'm not that kind of guy at all.
well I'm not saying they're not smart people, just a vast majority of mobile developers (not app developers mind you) like to put themselves on pedestals it's just annoying how (both iOS and android developers) mind you have bred a development culture where people aren't allowed to say bad things about them because "well he's doing nice things for everyone" yes, and if he is a good person I will treat him as such, but just because you release a jailbreak doesn't mean I have to be nice to you.

The guys like musclenerd, p0sixninja, and chpwn (disregard the retarded names) who are responsible for the real jailbreaking effort don't wave their dicks around or race. They actually all collaborate and make it a learning experience. The assholes you're referring to are the fuckups like dwaynefortman and like_a_sir who, even if they found an exploit, have never earned the respect of the jailbreaking crowd simply because they're a bunch of children and are doing it all wrong. Also, people aren't allowed to say bad things about them? Damn, did you forget geohot that fast? That guy was everyone's bitch even though he was instrumental in the jailbreak scene not so long ago, just because while he released actual working software and helped out, he was an egotistical cunt and rightfully deserved the bashing thrown at him. These other guys I referred to (the good guys) never act stuck-up. That's the only reason they don't get a negative public image anywhere. I think what I'm getting at is this: what's a circlejerk isn't the JB/root devs. I think it's more along the lines of the JBers themselves. There's so much ass-kissing among these plebs. Maybe that's what you're referring to.
Why even discuss opinions, I personally like jailbreak I just got tired of it. And just because f that I don't think protocol see's me in person as an circle jerk and what not
I don't jailbreak simply because I don't want to have to re-transfer my shit when I get something fixed from Apple.
So I restored my iPhone 5 yesterday. I lost 2% over night in 7 hours and I have now 68% left with usage 3 hours and standby 14 hours. So it didnt really help. Maybe I have to wait a few days. What counts as usage? Because I didnt use my phone 3 hours in the last 7 hours.
Screen on time. Except music also counts, as well as the fetching of email. But it sounds a lot better than your battery life before. That's actually pretty good now.
Yes it is a lot better than before. Before I had only 50% left after half a day now I have still 58% after a full day of work. But my problem is that I didn't use the phone for 3 hours (now 4 1/2 hours) today and it still says usage 4 1/2 hours. [editline]11th October 2012[/editline] Maybe I should disable push mail and stuff like that. I already have icloud disabled because I dont really need it. [editline]11th October 2012[/editline] I sync all my stuff with my gmail account.
All my email accounts are on a 30 minute fetch schedule and brightness is at about 50%. Still don't break 33% used unless I watch a buttload of netflix.

It's not only screen on time. That said, yeah, your battery improved a lot from before. You'd think Apple would prevent power management settings from carrying over to new devices, but that's Apple for ya.
My iPad still gets ~10 hours of screen on time at 50% brightness.
I didnt charge my ipad in the last 2 weeks and it has still 50%. I used it a lot.
anyone else on verizon fed up with the shitty service anything data related just breaks. I have to enter airplane mode several times to get a solid internet connection. yet voice and regular text is uninterrupted. [editline]11th October 2012[/editline] i oughta mention ofc on wifi it's absolutely fine, so I'm leaning towards verizon being shit.

Maybe they're better in some cities but more often than not, AT&T has the edge. Especially when you're talking LTE speeds.
well I just have a 4 so no LTE for me :p it's just as bad at my home in Aurora as it is in Denver
man even after the shooting I still read/hear Aurora and think "which is a suburb of Chicago, excellent"
