Tip: never go there
And I wont. But it was interesting reading about the bent iPhone 5 - it made me cautious about getting one. Is anyone here using iOS 6 with the iPad 3 (new iPad whatever...)? Did anyone notice any performance drop?

Did anyone notice any performance drop?
I am, and no. The new iPad still has some issues due to the screen being ridiculously high res. For example, on any iOS on the new iPad if you boot up the Find my iPhone app the spinning compass needle runs at like 40fps, and pulling the map edge on the right is stuttery as all hell. But that's not exclusive to iOS 6, and some stuff is actually smoother like the animation when opening a music album or when 4 finger closing the camera app.
I've noticed that when people talk about "performance", some of them are talking about two different things. Some people care a lot about visual performance, i.e. animations running at really good framerate without any skipping. I'm the kind of person who only cares about real performance, i.e. how long it actually takes to do things. If the animation has to skip frames in order to do something quickly, I don't really care, as long as it gets done. That's why I'm happy with the Snapdragon S3; it can usually do things quickly (I know this is slightly off-topic, sorry.)
The only mistake Apple Maps has made for me so far is placing my house three houses down. And that's only because I didn't put my address in properly.
Google Maps did that to my old house a while back of course last I looked at that address the overhead picture still showed a car that we hadn't had for years so they probably don't look at that area much

That's very interesting. Unfortuntely, it really doesn't do things that quickly either, especially when paired with Android's shoddy code. Lets look at browser performance. The HTC Sensation is fairly comparable to the Raider, just has a bit less RAM. It looks like the Snapdragon S3 doesn't really excel in either of those areas, check out the Sensation in relation to the iPhone 4 on iOS 6. I think the Galaxy S II would have been a better 2011 device for "real performance" and "visual performance".
The high res screen on the iPad is beautiful and the camera takes some brilliant shots as well which is great
Indeed, I'd never go back to the iPad 2, or any Android tablet. Even with that rumoured 2560x1600 Samsung tablet, it'll likely be one of the RGBW ones they showcased so it'll save power and murder all image quality as a result.
The fuck are you talking about? Are you smoking weed or something?
What a great post, you refuted my point brilliantly. If something takes 100ms longer to load, that's a teensy bit less than if something runs 30-40 frames per second slower at times, with each frame being displayed for 16.67ms. When it starts stuttering and we hit sub 30fps range, then you've got a huge delay between frames repeating over and over.

It amuses me greatly. As if your arguments are the only thing you value in life; you probably replay them a thousand times as you lie in bed at night, congratulating yourself for having defended Exynos and Krait, your only loves.

If you don't want to be argued with, then don't post things that you can't back up when someone disagrees. The reason you end up on the other end of a lot of my arguments is because you make lots of bad posts that you can't back up when anyone questions them. Then you just resort to insults, and you seem to be taking this very personally, which would amuse me if I didn't feel so bad that you seem to be taking any criticism of your ideas straight to heart.

You can't disprove my opinions because they're mine.

I can't just say it can't be disproven because it's my opinion.
are you mad
Mad? LOL. Did you miss the part where I'm partly amused, and partly just filled with pity toward Garry No Home's constant need to argue with things? I think it's sad that he wastes his energy this way. I mean look at his Android thread stats. He's number 1 because of how many posts he responds to, purely to fuel an argument. I hope he can find peace when he realizes it's not worth it. Now Gary Chen, there's a role model. He stays out of pointless arguments, and just has conversations instead. He doesn't see opinions as a personal attack.

[editline]13th October 2012[/editline] Why would you resort to personal attacks if you weren't angry? Like I said before, you're considerably poor at backing up anything you say and you usually just "forget" that you said anything or just post nonsense like you did right after I pointed out that frame rate issues are more perceivable than load times.
Alright whatever, let's not shit up this thread. We'll argue through PM if you want to.
Alright whatever, let's not shit up this thread. We'll argue through PM if you want to.
Haha, there's nothing to argue. You even tried to call me out in the Android thread and everyone said I know exactly what I'm talking about. Nice job, not even the people in the thread that you claim I just argue in agree with you.

I just think you try too hard to say it's the only valid opinion. if that were true, nobody would buy the Galaxy Ace.
