That's unfortunate, but Rogers is the worst Canadian major carrier so its fitting. You should do a speedtest on the iPhone to see if you are really on LTE.
I am. At first I thought it was faux-G, but nope, actual LTE.
Did you call them or something? I mean you pay for that so you should get it.
If its a problem from your provider we can't help you. Try contacting them and ask for help.
I did. They told me my account isn't provisioned for LTE. Then all of a sudden, I have connectivity. I never did on my S3, so I just took their word for it.

LTE is Faux-G but that's for another discussion. That's quite odd but maybe you shouldn't question it and just let Rogers keep on sending you LTE service, if you call they might fix any mistakes they made.

It's not as faux as HSPA+ marketed as 4G.
That's what I'm probably going to end up doing. I just want the speed to work on my S3. The iPhone 4 shipped with a different APN on Rogers than the regular APNs for a couple months after launch, so maybe Rogers set up a special LTE APN for iPhones again.
Dunno what cities you guys are in but Rogers is fucking excellent in Winnipeg. Rogers' LTE isn't HSPA+ by the way and is not marketed as 4G on iPhones. It is marketed as such on Galaxy phones but that's Samsung's fault for subscribing to a wrongful identification of a standard. If your iPhone shows LTE, then it's LTE. I don't know why it's not working with your S3, but it might have something to do with the adaptor you're using to put a nanoSIM in a microSIM phone.
I have the old 6GB plan and it will be LTE-supported whenever LTE rolls out in Winnioeg.

I know Rogers LTE isn't HSPA+. They marketed HSPA+ as 4G with a lot of phones though. Hell, AT&T pushed an update that changed the 3G symbol to show 4G on the iPhone 4.
I'm using an actual micro-SIM that's provisioned for LTE. I've got a ton of extra SIMs to spare so it's definitely not an issue with the SIM.

Also is it just me or does posting with chrome on iOS not work? It won't recognize the box as a text field.
So how do you use the MicroSIM in an iPhone 5?
Just bought a white iPhone 4S last night. I like it better then my older Windows Phone. I heard awhile ago that there was a Facepunch Mobile app for iPhone. Anyone know about that? I couldn't find it on the app store.

Rogers HSPA is typically worse in most areas where both Bell/Telus and Rogers have coverage, they simply didn't have the funds to build out their network like Bell and Telus did with their combined network, and they still haven't even moved to DC-HSPA. I've noticed that in Toronto and KW their LTE is actually better than Bell's and Telus's so there's that. Also yah it's nice that Apple isn't retarded and simply labelled it LTE instead of "4G".

That's not how iPhones work. AT&T doesn't "push" anything. They get the firmware that Apple puts on and they can deal with it. The alternative is ending up without the iPhone, and we all know how well that's working for T-Mobile USA.
So how do you use the MicroSIM in an iPhone 5?
As I said before, I have a ton of extra SIMs of al varieties so I just have to call up Rogers to swap the service around.

You know exactly what I mean. It was part of the 5.1 update, I think, but all AT&T iPhones started to display 4G instead of 3G.

If you're not completely strapped for cash I'll sell you my 32GB 4th gen for $160 shipped
the 3rd gen 8gb is the exact same as the 2nd gen 8gb

If I had the cash, I'd love to do that. But only reason I'm considering this is because it's under 40 bucks
even though 8 gb isn't even enough for all my music.. I have a classic 64 gb for that :/
Jellybean doesn't support Flash officially either. It's DEAD in the mobile space. Adobe lost and it's for the best in the long run.
how well does the iphone 3gs perform on ios6? any massive performance issues
how well does the iphone 3gs perform on ios6? any massive performance issues
I've got a friend still rockin' his 3GS and he says it feels faster on iOS 6 than it did on 5. I'm inclined to agree from my little bit of time with it.
Hmm, news to me. Adobe still provide the installer for it on their website.

Its not in the Play store anymore.
It is in the UK.
Either way, Adobe quit with Flash in the mobile space. The version you're rocking and people will continue installing is an old unsupported version that won't be updated, so it's a matter of time until it breaks.
Every site under the sun does HTML5 now so meh.
I wish.
That's what xnxx is for. :v:

Doesn't do a damn thing for Flash animations though.

I can live without ads and Newgrounds.
so uhh does anyone know of any success with the iPhone 5 in terms of finding it in a store or doing the online next-day reservation?
You should be able to get the iPhone 5 in an Apple store
apparently they're in high demand tho, so it seems they're rarely in stock
Yeah Apple Stores seem to not carry any stock at the moment. I have a friend who's been looking to buy one for the past week, and all Apple Stores in Vancouver (4 of them) are out of stock.
You can't just back order?
meh ill just get the 32gb 4s instead of the 5, not that big of a difference anyway
meh ill just get the 32gb 4s instead of the 5, not that big of a difference anyway
I've used the 5 and it's worth it, it is a big difference. The A6 chip is amazing and the screen is multiple times better due to both the size/res increase, and the amazing color calibration.
Apple providing a live video stream of an event? What the hell!
