So here's a fun idea My school's email system has a thing where you can send and receive emails from outside emails and staff, but you can't send to other students My idea is to set up a small mailserver at home (Maybe on a Rasberry Pi) and using the power of mspaint Make myself an email proxy for fun
You could set up a php script on some web server and just fill in the email of other students. It wouldn't even be sent from your mail address so if they ever find out about one student they don't who sent or received mails.
Makol, this isn't just bad luck. You have some kind of fault on something in your house. No matter what, you've gone through 8 cards, and you have had a PSU kill itself and your components. Check the wall sockets, whatever, because this shouldn't happen.
Uh did you not read what I said earlier? 3/8 were DOA 1/8 had a faulty fan 4/8 had over heating issues which lead to either artifacting or death (only one died). It's just bad cards and can't be my house since this happened in three different houses. [editline]2nd March 2012[/editline] The issue I had last night was a combination of bad drivers, 12.2 would cause artifacting in certain games with AA enabled but that should be fixed in 12.3, and one card having a good amount of dust build up. All I needed to do was go back to 12.1, clean the cards, and reapply thermal paste. Boom. Back to normal. The one "died" because I actually didn't plug in the 6-pin right and did get power properly. That was my mistake.
I understand what the speaker is talking about. I feel smart.
The one "died" because I actually didn't plug in the 6-pin right and did get power properly. That was my mistake.
-> thread title
Pretty much. Gotta live up to the title.

Anyone know any good fan controllers? I just ordered some Gentle Typhoons and some Bitfenix cables and I have some money left over for one. [editline]2nd March 2012[/editline] http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811992005 Looking at this one right now.
I'd love to have a touchscreen fan controller I'd probably never touch it but it'd look awesome as fuck
Ahaha this kid brought his 'gaming' computer in to class saying it didn't work. After 30 minutes of fucking around with it, we discovered he didn't have bloody standoff screws installed.
Wait, it displays temparatures too? Actually useful! [editline]2nd March 2012[/editline] Mergerapist
Wait, it displays temparatures too? Actually useful!
Yeah. That's why I'm considering getting it, better than knobs and not knowing how adjusting the fans affects your temps.
I feel so bad that I messed up those fans. It's bugging me so much today.
It'd be neat to take one of the outputs and probes, let them use a USB connection and have some sort of integration with GPU controllers like Afterburner [editline]2nd March 2012[/editline]
I feel so bad that I messed up those fans. RMA, tell 'em it arrived like that.
It'd be neat to take one of the outputs and probes, let them use a USB connection and have some sort of integration with GPU controllers like Afterburner
That'd be cool. Wonder if anyone has done that.
RMA, tell 'em it arrived like that.
:O Naughty.
:O Naughty.
You know this thread
RMA, tell 'em it arrived like that.
They came from Germany. I aint RMA'in' [editline]2nd March 2012[/editline]
Have you tried unbending them?
To a certain extent, yes. But I think the bend is inside the motor. I can't do anything.
The demo event: 3hr 30min of dude talking about what Windows Phone 7.5 offers 30min at the end of dude talking about the ways in which HTML5 will completely decimate OS-specific applications.
Also, I swear half the people at my job must be cancer patients or something. Everyone is always coughing and snorting like they have the plague.
swine flu [editline]2nd March 2012[/editline] I just ordered some Gentle Typhoon fans. Gonna hold off on the fan controller, gonna see which fans are causing so much noise before investing in one. yay
Which GT's did you get?
Same over here. Kind of . Everybody has running noses, one girl managed to bleed from nose today. Her russian book is now bloody. I have got a bleedy nose too a few times now. Only once it was badly bleeding, luckily. Also, people have fever. We had like half of the boys missing today because of it.

Which reminds me... "GOOGLE GET OFF YOUR ASSES AND ADD NATIVE WEBAPP SUPPORT TO ANDROID!"
Which GT's did you get?
The 1150rpm ones. Gonna put them on my V6GT. Performance PC even sleeves them for you for free. How nice.
The 1150rpm ones. Gonna put them on my V6GT. Performance PC even sleeves them for you for free. They were always sold out when I checked though [editline]2nd March 2012[/editline] EVERYONE SHUT THE FUCK UP GO TO A HOSPITAL
Speaking of fan controllers (Last page, meh), I'd love to design one as open source hardware. Atmel powered fan controller with a 16x2 LCD, Thermally controlled as an option and USB control. I'd just use the PWM outputs through some MOSFETs to control the fans (PWM can be used to control ordinary 3 pin fans and even LED strip lights - RGB colour changing internals anyone?) Wouldn't be to hard for anyone to assemble if I used through-hole components. Places like Iteadstudio/seeedstudio can make the PCBs for it (They both support Open source hardware). Added it to my list of projects to do.

1150's still push some strong air. You should be fine. Also my boss came in and was like, "Go price some bluray burners. bye" what
