I accidentally left prime95 running while playing a game. I'm glad my CPU is not an ingot.
Why would it damage it? Prime95+game is not going to get hotter than Prime95 on it's own.
did you know spotify uses P2P crap? not using that anymore
30 FPS! the horror!
30fps looks like shit compared to 60fps
30 FPS! the horror! [editline]16th March 2012[/editline] did you know spotify uses P2P crap? not using that anymore
When I'm used to playing at 60+ 30 looks like shit.
All of you and your fancy 60 and 30 FPS This laptop does TF2 all low at ~16FPS and i still can put up a fight
Why would it damage it? Prime95+game is not going to get hotter than Prime95 on it's own.
Core temp was 72 with game minimized. Core temp max while running prime95 alone was at 69.
Oh I just love my modem, the internet craps out when the land-line is answered, its like being on dial-up again!
I accidentally left prime95 running while playing a game. I'm glad my CPU is not an ingot.
I've did that before. Edit: In my defence prime95 just randomly decided to start on startup.
Oh I just love my modem, the internet craps out when the land-line is answered, its like being on dial-up again!
Same with me.
Also my gran is a fucking legend, she said I had £30 in my piggeh bank, I asked her to put it in my bank.... A wild £100 appeared. Thats £500+ since xmas, personally I think shes a secret bank robber.
Oh I just love my modem, the internet craps out when the land-line is answered, its like being on dial-up again!
high five
Just sold my useless/broken iPhone for $100 to some dingus.
At least you guys don't have to put up with the mentally deficient chimps at Plusnet. I still don't get why my family insists we use them.
At least you guys don't have to put up with the mentally deficient chimps at Plusnet. I still don't get why my family insists we use them.
We really do feel for you.
Oh I just love my modem, the internet craps out when the land-line is answered, its like being on dial-up again!
Sounds like your phone lines are shitty or you don't have enough DSL filters.
At least you guys don't have to put up with the mentally deficient chimps at Plusnet. I still don't get why my family insists we use them.
I'm with BT, it really isn't much better. Still, we could be with Talk Talk...
At least you guys don't have to put up with the mentally deficient chimps at Plusnet. I still don't get why my family insists we use them.
Meh, their ok, wouldn't use them as my main internet though, i've got them at my grans. [editline]16th March 2012[/editline]
I'm with BT, it really isn't much better. Still, we could be with Talk Talk...
I'm with bt, we get the best package free, all we gotta pay is line rental and phone calls that arn't after 6pm.
Sounds like your phone lines are shitty or you don't have enough DSL filters.
The call quality is beyond awful, its nigh impossible to speak to some people down that line, and more filters? I have the one that came with a homehub plugged in (no, we don't use that homehub POS anymore)
When I'm used to playing at 60+ 30 looks like shit.
60+? You got a 120Hz display?
Just got a new case, coolermaster HAF 619 (or something like that, everyones got one). Thing is excellent, so much better than my old "Sunbeam transformer" full tower. That thing had NO airflow and was a dust magnet to boot. Only thing I'm worried about are the massive openings without filters on the top and the side of the case. Everything else about it is exccelent though. Removable HDD cages for airflow, nice big 120mm fans that plug into your PSU, bottom-mounted PSU for airflow, a spot cut open behind the mobo for easy installation of aftermarket coolers, and little holes/areas to put cables for cable management. Only bad part is apparently I suck at applying thermal grease because my PC won't stay on for more than 20-30 seconds. Look in my bios, and sure enough - 98C CPU temps :v: Good thing I just discovered I have iso alcohol wipes, so gonna have to get in there and clean off my CPU/HS with it and figure out the best way of putting thermal grease on. My old method of using a credit card edge for some really odd reason isn't working with my grease I just bought. Speaking of which, best way to put on thermal grease so I don't explode my CPU?
60+? You got a 120Hz display?
No, I meant the actual number of frames, not the amount displayed.
No, I meant the actual number of frames, not the amount displayed.
Well, then you're technically still playing at 60fps
Well, then you're technically still playing at 60fps
Well duh.
Just put the heatsink on it, don't spread, turn a bit aswell.
Well duh.
Then turn on VSync and save power.
Then turn on VSync and save power.
I do that. Some games don't allow it however.
The call quality is beyond awful, its nigh impossible to speak to some people down that line, and more filters?
You should have filters on everything plugged into the phone lines EXCEPT for the DSL modem.
Its one of these, and you can't plug the modem in without it.
How to apply thermal paste seems to get asked every week here...
