Ok, I ordered four AP13's from performance pc's. AP14's would be wasted as I'd never run them on full. AP13's still will probably be undervolted to 800-900rpm.

It was a physical server problem, some of the silicon of the server slightly melted causing some small PWM which in the end, after 3 months of perfect activity just finally had a fault which ended of course in Makol. It was hardware that caused it, not software.
My Asus Transformer screen is a bit fucked.
