Hey guys, I know I should go to the tf2 threads for this but they're mean; is there a way to save files from the tf2 workshop and replace weapon models with it?

A machine at work did this, It just shut off and started doing them on startup.
I just unplugged it, reseated every connector and the RAM and GPU. Started up first time after that.

You have sinned.
Ok, any recommendations for a screwdriver set for computer fuckery?
It's none of my business but why did he leave?
Lack of free time. This was an IRL friend, but various school and family shit came up and he no longer has the time to do anything.
Do you have page for the game? If I think it's interesting I'll make a video for my channel if people are interested in helping you out. I have a varied audience that might be able to help.
There's a Sourceforge page, but there's not really anything there yet. That was mainly so I'd have somewhere to publish everything once it's ready.
I appreciate the offer (and I'll probably take you up on it for release publicity, eventually), but I've decided I'm going to just do it myself. After enough consecutive failures, I'm just going to go it alone.
Did you ask in the creationism corner yet?
If you ask nice and present your project well they will help you most of the time.
I did, several months ago when I first started on version 0.1.0. I got four volunteers. One immediately dropped off the planet, the other two apparently found "make a Sourceforge account" too difficult, and the last one stopped after making about half the sprites (I'm throwing out his work, since I can't copy his style and never particularly cared for several of the sprites).

Real men use powertools
DustySheep showed me what was unsoldered from his mobo by his melting Pentium D.
it was a capacitor and he doesn't know where it's supposed to go even if he had access to a soldering station

Forgive me, I only did it for a weapon code though Origin
The alienware emails are now being routed into Spam

Link to sniper?
It's kinda like a machine gun but with zoom.
Eats lots of ammo and does reasonable damage. Not the best weapon though and only usable in singleplayer.

No real men use sonic screwdrivers.

And then there's dije who just ruins it.
Newegg may be a bit slow but at least they have decent customer service

Well this is fun. There was a lightning storm on the weekend which caused a blackout. This didn't really affect me, but the school got all their servers knocked out (Weekend, they're all on UPS' but no one was there to shut them down properly) Everything was back up on monday anyway. Unfortunately it's seemed to fuck with a lot of our shit. Namely 1 of the main fileservers for the room my class works in and, more annoyingly, something's fucked up the ESXi server. So, everything works while in vSphere, problem is we use vCenter Lab Manager (Which is fucking brilliant for a web based platform, even though the price is a bit high, imo). So now for nearly 2 hours I've just been chilling on my laptop, playing my DS a little but mostly looking up tech news and shit. So the teacher is trying to fuck with shit to get it to work, but to no avail, not yet.
Most UPS' can be connected to the servers and they can issue a shutdown command when loss of power occurs.
"whats this usb cable i need a port for this mouse" comes to mind every time I think of UPS's that auto-shutdown on power loss.

afaik, we have that run on the fileservers but not on the ESXi servers, I've had a few unexpected shutdowns on ESXi at home and it doesn't exactly react well.
[editline]21st March 2012[/editline]
Oh goddammit. One of the DNS servers was down, which caused another server the Lab Manager server relied on to not connect to the goddamn ESXi server.
My UPS is so old that it's got a serial connection.
And it doesn't protect my PC from power loss, however if I unplug the UPS from the wall, everything is A-OK and it switches to battery power.
With my old backup power supply it would bluescreen my desktop instead of shutting it down or hibernating it.
