Google Talk is a bit limited compared to BBM. If they added the ability to check when someone has read the message and improved the clients on other platforms, Google Talk would be better. Another disadvantage of Google Talk is that you need a regular data plan, compared to the dirt cheap BlackBerry messaging plans.
