422 is not 100% quality. It's about 66% quality. It subsamples chroma, so the color resolution is half res, but luma is 100%. It's lossless in that you can encode using it a thousand times and quality will drop, but lossy in that you lose info on the original encode.

Okay, so when I record and I have compression turned on everything is sped up but the audio is fine.
My other problem is that when I import the footage into premiere pro, there is no video but the audio is there.
