I'm going to need a laptop for general college notes and usage. Courses wise I'll be taking maths, physics, computing and music tech. I'm not entirely sure of my budget at this point but I don't want to spend much more necessary. I don't need it for gaming, so that solves a few problems. I've got eye on a Transformer Prime, but my problem is that I'll need to be able to use Ableton and/or VirtualDJ for my music tech course. What other alternatives are there at the moment?

Before I started my music tech course I got a Dell Studio 1555 on a Pre-Term student discount and used a coupon code on top of it. The laptop cost such a ridiculously small amount by the time all the discounts had been applied :v: Plus the onboard firewire plays well with my audio interface.

Gotta say it, Dell Vostro 3550. Amazing value for money, fucker even has 2 sound cards (not 2 drivers, 2 sound cards). Pretty expandable too, RAM wise, since Dell only use a single DIMM (Unless you buy with 8GB of RAM).

So guys, I'm looking to replace my lg w2243s's at the end of the year, my dad recently bought an LG LED monitor which I'm very impressed with, its incredibly bright and the whites are well.... white! I'm pig sick of VGA and want to move to DVI, and while LED isn't a requirement I would like it. I'll take anything between 21" - 24" I'd prefer them to be relatively inexpensive.
