I got a free blackberry curve from the same guy that gave me that 20" laptop :Y

Why is the price cut so massive :d
Because they hasn't updated the RRP for years
Suprised that nobody talked about this yet, but AMD Catalyst 12.3 is out (fucking finally)
http://www.tweaktown.com/news/23247/amd_catalyst_12_3_drivers_are_now_available/index.html
it will be just as average as AMD's other drivers
it will be just as average as AMD's other drivers
so it'll be really bad
http://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-SDSDQM-032G-B35-microSDHC-32GB-Card/dp/B003HIWHN0/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1332971960&sr=1-1

Aw, just bought a 16GB for £11 last month, might have to get one of them if the price sticks.
Just realised battlefield 3 is on my SSD, which means my network on the powerlines really must be terrible because it still takes upwards of a minute to load into a map.
so it'll be really bad
no, just average
no, just average
I miss Nvidia's drivers. But I'm loving one fix on the 12.3 list for AMD's drivers.
"AMD Catalyst Control Center startup issues/delays have been resolved"
It takes 1/10th of the time to get the CCC window up compared to the previous ones.
GOT IT
STABILITY. Everything in a quantum computer is magnetic, and is magnetic to the point where it is extremely sensitive. It's where the power of the quantum computing comes from.
Bits are just boolean, 1's and 0's, qubits are double's, they are 0.37, 0.474, 0.963 and so on. This description is simplified, it's much more complex but it gets the point across. The second one of those values gets interference from magnetic resonance, everything goes to nonsense. That, is the fatal flaw of quantum computing. I don't know why I never thought of this earlier. But that would be the reason we are not using this. The stability to perform calculations do not exist, and will not for years to come. RSFQC deals with this problem but still far from perfect. The stability still lacks in the area.
That is what is preventing us from taking advantage of this awesome technology.
Oh and Graphene is so sought upon for computing because it's molecular computing compared to atomic, quantum. It's the level behind quantum computing. It's the technology that will lead us into Quantum computing.
Damn. I can't believe I didn't remember this before.
NO!
RSFQ is *NOT* quantum computing, and it does not use qubits. Just because it has the word "quantum" in it, doesn't mean it's automatically "quantum computing". Modern silicon chips exploit certain quantum effects to work - does that mean your Core i5 is now using qubits?
Qubits also aren't doubles - that's analog computers, FERMIAC and MONIAC and shit. Bits are 1 xor 0, qubits are 1 or 0. They basically go nuts with a few specific algorithms but are useless for anything else.
Also, RSFQ should, from all I've read, be pretty stable. At -200C, *everything* is stable. You've got practically no thermal noise and even if you have to shield it from background radiation, that's not exactly hard.

Yet there are some 12.2 issues that still exist :v:

I don't even fuck with the settings anymore unless a new release runs less than acceptably (which is more often than not.)

Last time I did that all my games ran at 17 fps.

The Amazon price cut thing is pretty much there for illiterates. "WOW! This is $50 off! Better make use of this deal!"

Why must people mislabel things so stupidly and confuz my brain. It's so mean.
...why the fuck aren't we using this shit.
Wow, is iTunes really this bad at download managment?
i'm getting like 580 kB/s from it being open, while steam can pull 4ish mB/s downloading a game

I'm still miffed that nobody's written a molecular computer to my cells and allowed me to dedicate a portion of my brain to becoming an integrated calculator

But that would be expensive.

some ISPs have dedicated steam content servers, might be part of it. I know I can hit around 16MBps on steam downloads, while torrents and the like hit maybe 4-5 at most

I usually have it the other way, I can max my connection when torrenting (legally might I add), but when downloading from Steam I rarely ever max and when I do it fluctuates in traditional Steam-server fashion

Morphological filtering is a godsend though.
With WoW on all ultra, 1280x1024, i get a better framerate with 8x MSAA than i do using a SMAA Injector.
Something ain't right, also SMAA makes the text/UI look shitty
no matter what setting I play WoW at I get the same fps
it's weird
[editline]29th March 2012[/editline]
this is with the 64-bit client though, dunno about the 32-bit

There is a setting separate from vsync that limits framerate
also i was using 32-bit because the injector won't work with 64, may as well use 64 now though
There is a setting separate from vsync that limits framerate
I have all the settings that'd limit fps off, with them on I stutter ??
I have all the settings that'd limit fps off, with them on I stutter ??
The stuttering is because blizzard apparently hates AMD and the game runs shitty one way or another on most AMD cards, sometimes more noticeably in crossfire. i.e. stuttering, shadows causing MASSIVE performance drops and color banding with shadows
also 4.3.3 made WoW unplayable for some AMD GPU users due to horrible framerate
edit: your massive list of tech related problems astounds me sometimes
no
it happens on my CF 6870s and GTX 460M
also I get 80+ fps no matter what on my laptop and desktop
oh no. lordcrypto is here to make me feel bad because my avatar isn't animated. :saddowns:
oh no. lordcrypto is here to make me feel bad because my avatar isn't animated. :saddowns:
He's obviously better than you.
[editline]29th March 2012[/editline]
Wow.
So, I decided to stick SMAA on Dirt 3, which I run at MSAA x8 anyway. Holy fuck. 8x MSAA and SMAA is fucking sex.
