I still like my Define R3. Apparently the earlier versions had a blue led brighter than nine thousand suns but this one doesn't so there's absolutely nothing wrong with it.
and at least the cases are functional unlike most of the shit looking cases out there that people buy MY MERGE

I currently have a little streaming + mid-range gaming computer inside on hooked up to my TV. Good fun. :v:
Rosewill smart one, replace front fan with no leds and dremel some cable management holes in Best case ever, $50 and 20 minutes of easy work.
and at least the cases are functional unlike most of the shit looking cases out there that people buy MY MERGE
Hence why I said I had considered buying one. I'm not out to get them, they're just still too far on the 'Hey, this case looks like a tank it is COOL" side for my likes.
or buy a real case
Just got the new parts for my lilbro's computer. I thought that the old motherboard was simply broken, and that the PSU was fine. Seems like I was wrong. The PSU is working, but it doesn't always want to turn on, whereas my enermax did it flawlessly. I checked in the BIOS and the CPU seemed to be at ~1V with the old PSU, and 1.24V with the enermax. Might be that the CPU didn't get the required Voltage, but I honestly never looked into how low a voltage a CPU can run at. It's an i3 2100, if it helps.
I've run my old q6600 all the way down to 1.1V and all the way up to 1.8V and the tank still works. Intel stuff has some seriously high tolerances.
Not that the HAF 912/+ are bad, I was even going to get one before I found the 650D, but the overall aesthetic design is exactly what I mean when I say "ultra gamer xtremee". It's front is a big chunk of injection-molded 'look-cool' plastic. :v: [editline].[/editline] Maybe I'm being the picky one, it's just that I prefer things not to have bits and pieces hanging off every which way. I'm perfectly content with my case being a monolithic black box with no real defining features whatsoever.
[thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/26604285/Untitled.png[/thumb] Well my "ultra gamer xtremee" case cools pretty well. Also, Buttsex, you cannot rate opinions dumb.

[editline]29th March 2012[/editline] Besides looks are an Opinion.
What I'm saying is you don't need a bad looking case to get good cooling. [editline]29th March 2012[/editline] Besides looks are an Opinion.
I have the same hardware as you, my 'bad looking case' maintains it all well below 40c with the fans cranked down to about 15%. :v
I would sacrifice that for a decent looking case in seconds.
I need a case where you can put the cables behind the mobo I have a huge vein of cables in my current PC that just goes straight down the middle of the case and each and every one of you would have a heart attack if you saw it
I would sacrifice that for a decent looking case in seconds.
just fuck off already
just fuck off already
Ok then, take it from my POV. This is now YOUR case. Or you can have And your temps raise by 10C. Choose.
Raise? What the hell are you smoking? Li Li is known for great airflow options, and some of the best cable management known to man.

Its an example, I don't care about real world scenarios. I'll take your word for it but this is just how I see it. Now choose. [editline]29th March 2012[/editline]
I'd take the black one because I'm not 12 years old
Exactly. Thats the way I see it. [editline]29th March 2012[/editline] Also, how can I get FP to take me to the newest post? ?GOTO=newpost
also, what model lian li is that? I want one
also, what model lian li is that? I want one
PC9F I believe.
I would sacrifice that for a decent looking case in seconds.
Different priorities. I guess if you're willing to sacrifice functionality for aesthetics, that's not my loss. Enjoy your case. [editline]29th March 2012[/editline]
Also, how can I get FP to take me to the newest post? ?GOTO=newpost
Bookmark "http://www.facepunch.com/fp_read.php" while logged in. from there just do the obvious click of the # new posts flag.
Different priorities. I guess if you're willing to sacrifice functionality for aesthetics, that's not my loss. Enjoy your case.
I'm not saying that I would completely sacrifice functionality for aesthetics, its just if its little to no difference, and one looks better than the other, I would go with the better one.
I'm not saying that I would sacrifice functionality for aesthetics, its just if its little to no difference, and one looks better than the other, I would go with the better one.
More often than not there is a very large contrast between functionality and aesthetics. That's what half of this argument has been about, there is rarely a 'little to no difference' area between a "Good looking case" and a more functionality/enthusiast oriented block of aluminum and steel print.
More often than not, there is a very large contrast between functionality and aesthetics. That's what half of this argument has been about.
And haf's have a good balence IMO.
Speaking of cases, i got given an acer micro atx case. Get this it's a prebuilt WITH CABLE MANAGEMENT OPTIONS I KNOW, RIGHT?
Speaking of cases. I really wish I just went with a TH10 and not the cosmos 2. I should have listened to all the people on OCN, HardOCP, FP, H3F, and FB. It just doesn't work for me as much as a $350 dollar case would. A fantastic case, but I think it was just not for me.
Speaking of cases, I really don't give a shit about cases.
