That'd be silly, and so would buying an Apple product without knowing it's original purpose. And that goes with any computer, really.
So, you're gonna just have to do your research on a couple devices. If you're a hardcore gamer, I'd also suggest looking into some AlienWare desktops or the new Razer Blade gaming laptop. There's a world out there FILLED with great computer hardware! And it's gonna take more than a simple track of thought over night.
