You forgot to pause Halo Reach.
That's not happening because the rear bracket is holding it in place
I know Its just you better hope you get that screw in or else your PCI slot is parting ways with the mobo
You forgot to pause Halo Reach.
That's not Halo Reach.
That's not Halo Reach.
HUD looks like Halo CE. Is it the anniversary edition? Is that any good?
It's a really lazily made game, it pops in and out of the old and new graphics and all the old bugs (even game breaking ones) still exist.
It's a really lazily made game, it pops in and out of the old and new graphics and all the old bugs (even game breaking ones) still exist.
Didn't they use most of the original physics, actor, etc code for the remake, and use Reach's current engine for the graphics?
Didn't they use most of the original physics, actor, etc code for the remake, and use Reach's current engine for the graphics?
They claim it's on the same engine as Reach but it looks way worse.
probably looks worse because they had to scale down a lot of textures to allow for a whole other set to be applied to the entire level? Last I checked the xbox didn't have a lot of video memory.

yeah the current consoles are a joke. You know what else is a joke? Game devs not optimizing shit. I mean you shouldn't actually need a 680 or a 7970 with like 4 GB of VRAM. Look at the Xbox, horrible outdated GPU and less ram than my phone, yet games have been optimized so heavily they still look very decent. Imagine of this was done for all PC games.
hehehe
I swear I saw this image being posted at least 3 times in the past but I still don't get it.

I like to thing of console and PCs like Android and WP7. Android requires huge powerhouses of phones with like a gig of memory and a dual/quad core processor to run smoothly. Meanwhile WP7 has like 512MB of ram mostly and and a single core processor, and still runs smooth as fuck. It's all a matter of optimization.
Wrong way round Turing.
Wrong way round Turing.
?
Optimization isn't always easy.

On the old iOS devices (I'm talking like very first iPhone etc.), you could load a heavy webpage, and when it was in the middle of the load, if you moved around the page, it would just stop loading the page because you touching the screen would hog up the CPU. Android doesn't do that, so the program can actually do shit while you interact with it, which is why a dual-core processor helps Android a lot. AFAIK WP7 does the same kind of crap as iOS, I don't know how the lower-end devices react to trying to render a heavy page while interacting with it.

For example, a .gif stops playing if you move around the page. Also the page doesn't load if you move around. This is on the iPhone 4.
Did anyone else hear about the computer that takes 6 hours to start up Ubuntu? Edit; Its 6 hours.

One thing that shows how lazy 343 was when making Halo CE Anniversary is that they did not fix ANY of the bugs from the original game, hell some of them are worse than before, and even created some new game breaking bugs. Also it's possible to get in a pelican and fly it. No idea how that happened.
Did anyone else hear about the computer that takes 5 hours to start up Ubuntu?
[editline]3rd April 2012[/editline] fucking merge.
Did anyone else hear about the computer that takes 5 hours to start up Ubuntu?
no because any computer that would take five hours to boot Ubunutu wouldn't be able to run it in the first place unless the [del]hard disk[/del] storage median is some floppy stack that automatically switches out when it reaches the end of the disk, while the actual drive runs at 20rpm
who cares? [editline]3rd April 2012[/editline] god dammit stop! :smithicide:
Regardless of how late I may be neat!
They should've at least make the VRM heatsinks taller and the fins facing the same direction as the airflow
Imagine of this was done for all PC games.
I think it was attempted the result was skyrim. beyond your ever-detailed 40-foot gaze lay nothing but mud and low-poly trees. :v: [editline].[/editline]
At least make the VRM heatsinks taller and the fins facing the same direction as the airflow
I noticed those problems, too (although if you look to the left, one fan does actually have a hedgehog-like heat sink.) I posted it because it comes off as more of a gimmick than anything. Still neat, though.
