I'm okay with this. If you don't have a touchscreen, you can just use the desktop interface. And if Microsoft can get laptop manufacturers to include touch screens on new laptops, I can really see this being a thing.

A long shot, but I might as well try here before giving up and resorting to the [i]horror[/i] of a virtual machine: Does anyone have RCT2 working happily on Win7 / Win8, and if so, how the fuck did you manage it? My retail copy launches but just crashes a few seconds after loading a map or after changing the resolution. Apparently the GoG version works but I really don't want to have to buy it twice

I find ironic how Android 4.0.3 is more mouse-friendly than the Windows 8 Metro interface. The traditionally touchscreen OS being better for mouse control than the traditionally mouse-driven OS. Oh my. Now the app developers just need to realise android has had mouse support since 3.2 and start adding it instead of having mouse emulate touchscreen input.

Metro could theoretically work on Macbooks because of the awesome touchpads those things have, but then you'd have an interface which around none of your target audience could use.

I think we're going to have another Vista on our hands. Windows 7 will be the one people stick to for moat uses but as people buy new laptops/desktops from stores they'll be using it and hating it.
