Yea, I cut out the back steel grill, and the side filters and structure. The top piece has a removable panel that lets you install fans. I left off as it constricts airflow like a cunt.

Right now what I'm considering doing is running a 360 rad in the top, with 3 Noctua NF-F12's pulling air in, then using a cougar 140 in the back, removing the upper hard drive cage and the fan with it (Not sure on that, would replacing with a quieter fan be better) and using the bottom cages for my drives, perhaps without the fans. Not sure, wanting complete silence with this rig. But I'm considering both the 800D and the COSMOS II, but you seem to hate the COSMOS II, so I'm not sure what to think.

I have a possibly stupid question, why do I see people complaining about merges being broken? Why not just edit the post, or does it bump the thread? I've seen two posts next to eachother by the same person that haven't "merged".
My friend did work experience with my school with the IT technicians repairing computers around the school for teachers, hooking up interactive whiteboards to projectors etc. Somehow didn't find out the wifi password in his whole two weeks despite that being one of the most common problems with my teachers. The supply teachers never have it when they come in so one of the technicians has to be sent to give them the password, apparently they didn't trust my friend with that job so instead let him replace the screens on half the netbooks.

So my $5 Logitech mouse started breaking after two years, Scoot figured out by futsing with it for a minute that it was a broken cable cutting in and out of connection. So I opened it up, pulled the cable back into it, and rerouted the cable so the broken part would stay in a stationary position instead of disconnecting every two seconds. Another two year life span on a $5 optical mouse by Logitech. Holy shit.

It's a fine case, having lived with it, it's a pain. At the end of the day, it depends if you want a nice looking exterior but not really much to do with it.
I would get one of it's competitors.

I don't need to, it stayed inside from being wrapped up around a plastic casing. Kind of like it was built in case the cable does get damaged. Plus if I used superglue I wouldn't be able to fix it if it does break later on.

I'm honestly leaning towards the Cosmos, It has all the room that I need and that I want, it has the perfect modularity that I want (Something the 800D lacks and annoys me with), it looks absolutely amazing, the finish on the side panels is to die for, modding wise I'm not going to have much to do with it. Unless there's some severe problem with mounting motherboards, or the gromets I really don't see any problems. Are there any other kind of problems that you haven't mentioned that aren't to do with the fans?

They aren't too ricey, they have the proper shit for cable management, good airflow, good construction.
I just can't justify a new case when my current one isn't really a problem, aside from nowhere to mount HDDs (they're still secured, just with tape, not screws)

NZXT looks too plasticy in my opinion. I prefer more metallic cases.

Metallic can be overdone, my current case is a real old Thermaltake Armor which is all metal aside from the side door and it's kind of a real piece
