I kinda like it Metallic can be overdone, my current case is a real old Thermaltake Armor which is all metal aside from the side door and it's kind of a real piece
Which one are you thinking of getting?
Probably this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146089 The Phantom looked good too but it was a bit too angle-full for my taste
I want an NZXT case They aren't too ricey, they have the proper shit for cable management, good airflow, good construction. I just can't justify a new case when my current one isn't really a problem, aside from nowhere to mount HDDs (they're still secured, just with tape, not screws)
Maybe like three of two of them aren't. [editline]10th April 2012[/editline]
Probably this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146089 The Phantom looked good too but it was a bit too angle-full for my taste
UGH no not that one I saw one in person as a demo rig at Micro Center. Finger print and scratch heaven. Plus it looks cheap/tacky as hell in person.

That thing is a plasticy, tacky, cheap piece of shit and fingerprint/scratch magnet.
Oh god that looks like it'll break in half.
if it's any consolation I've had to replace the plastic door on my current case twice does anyone make a full tower case that doesn't look like a robot that will walk off when it's plugged in??

somehow that didn't show up when I sorted by ATX Full Tower fuck you too Newegg
It's kinda sad to see discrete, simple case designs cost twice as much as the ricey shit. Why is it not the other way?
It's kinda sad to see discrete, simple case designs cost twice as much as the ricey shit. Why is it not the other way?
the ricey shit is full of LEDs and plastic, which is cheaper than the full aluminum/steel builds of minimalist cases
It's kinda sad to see discrete, simple case designs cost twice as much as the ricey shit. Why is it not the other way?
Because rice is just plastic. Cheap. Discrete simple case design actually requires effort and good materials. [editline]11th April 2012[/editline] Oh fuck you.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129179
I like my towers full
It's kinda sad to see discrete, simple case designs cost twice as much as the ricey shit. Why is it not the other way?
Because most people like ricey shit for some crazy reason.
Linked the wrong one. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129176
What's with the block on the side
That's a fan and I think it's pretty neat
It's a 200mm fan. [editline]10th April 2012[/editline]
seen that too bad it's OOS in any case I have other things I want Probably in this order: Chair -> Desk -> Case -> Third monitor
GTX 680/670 -> SSDs -> bigger monitor -> second GTX 680/670
I think hardware wise I'm fine for at least 2-3 years Got an i5-2500k, 8GB of RAM, HD 6850 My biggest problem is I can't sit in my chair for long periods of time because it's so uncomfortable, and my desk barely has room for 2 monitors and having two monitors leaves me almost no actual desk room

I got an i7, 8GB of RAM and a nVidia 525m optional and an Intel for basic desktop display. Though I've underclocked the i7 to an i5 due to heat. It still runs pretty nicely for a $400-$600ish laptop. I have a bad back, so... Desktops are sort of out of the question. Unless I build a special desk with room for a recliner!

No matter what with this build, I'm going for a big case, be it the COSMOS II or the 800D. I'm also hoping to get me one of those Achieva Shimian (Cheap 27" 2560x1440 display, amazing value), and I'm going be putting the rig on my desk instead of on the floor like I'm doing now. [editline]11th April 2012[/editline]
I keep seeing pictures of people with stacks of Razer products, but then they have it sitting in front of like a CRT monitor or a laptop with shit all for specs. I just don't get it.
'Aint nothing wrong with CRTs, infact they're better than a lot of LCD panels, they draw geometry 1000x better. Only reason they were really dumped is because of LCDs size.
And weight... And power consumption... And heat... And magnets... and environmental concerns...
