ITS ALLLLIIIVVVEEEEEE. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/zoCfE.jpg[/thumb] i hope
Computer is acting goofy, it comes on for a few seconds but abruptly turns off after a few seconds. When it turns back on ask I get is the lights on my case, and keyboard lights will occasionally flash. When the keyboard lights flash the power and hdd activity lights flash of. psu and gpu confirmed good, ram seated properly. I suspect the motherboard shorting somewhere, can anyone confirm? There aren't any error messages and it either posts fine and dies right before windows starts loading or it doesn't even try to post so its pretty hard to diagnose
makol
You need to sacrifice some graphics cards to Makol to appease him.

Another thought, could it actually be something wrong with the cmos? Or possibly the battery? Can't test it since I'm at work right now but does that sound like a possibility?
It sounds a lot like that's the problem. Reset it like the motherboard manual instructs you.
since its occasionally working it wouldn't be a data problem, but a power problem, right? Like the battery or cmos chip isn't seated right. I haven't done anything with either one though so I'm not sure how they could have come out other than maybe chip creep but that stopped being a problem in like '85 and this motherboard is only about a year and a half old.

Oh god my ebuyer order is being delivered by parcel force. So, place your bets, How separate fragments of useless junk will my order arrive in? :v:
Check to see if the CMOS battery is dead, that can cause a lot of problems itself.
that itself is silly, I've seen those things go for 20 years at a time. They're cheap enough that I might just pick one up on the way home in case that is the problem though so we'll see
18Mbps up. Sweeeettt jeeeesssuuussss
Though I do pretty well. A video like Motions of War 2 which looks lossless in 1080p on my computer took about 4 minutes to upload on my connection.

It was dispatched yesterday and it's still in Germany, sigh.
You guys got any idea how you would go about downgrading from Windows 7 Ultimate to Home Premium without a full format? He apparently downloaded a keygen to upgrade and Genuine Windows is complaining so he wants to go back.
Who's "he"?
"He" is someone at my school. [editline]12th April 2012[/editline] Infact he's the only other PC gamer at my school AFAIK.

I can't complain about my 6Mb/s upload but I still think it's way to low compared to my 120Mb/s download.
-woops-
5 down 1 up peasant race. Crappy ancient bloody phonelines. :saddowns:
Don't worry, we'll get it too........................ But by that time a new technology will exist, which is 5x faster than fiber optics.
Don't worry, we'll get it too........................ But by that time a new technology will exist, which is 5x faster than fiber optics.
fiber optics are basically mirrors in tube form that light zips through so 5 times faster than light? wut?
.. What the hell I found the network access disc for my PS2. Sony still has some DNAS servers up, but all the servers for the games have been shut down. Hardware Online Arena logged into DNAS successfully but it couldn't find any game servers.
