WoW has gotten really casual which isn't a bad thing to be honest. I play as a time killer now and have been able to level rather quickly and get geared for most basic raids in no time.

yes... haha my dad's stopped playing it now that he's maxed out his character since there's really no endgame content beyond raiding EDIT: even if i did want to raid my dad's kind of helicopter parent when it comes to guilds in MMOs for some reason, esp. since we have a guild of our own in EQ2 (which is composed of nothing but us and our immediate friends... Yeah, after looking into it some more, I'm going to say the rumor seems pretty unsubstantiated. A google search for "ivy bridge voltage" brings up the aforementioned article, two forum posts quoting it (one also citing an overclocking attempt), some forum questions about memory voltage, and then a bunch of articles either listing the power consumption (seems on par with SB, maybe even a bit lower) and some old articles promising much lower power draw at 22nm. Conclusions I could draw, ranked by probability, descending: 1) This is all one small news outfit either stretching rumors to near-breaking, or outright making shit up. It gets copied around, bringing in traffic and readers, but will be quickly forgotten once the review NDA lifts and actual, reputable sites put out reviews not even mentioning voltage problems. 2) There were some problems getting the 22nm process working, requiring much higher voltages, but they delayed until they could resolve it. The aforementioned news site did tests using old silicon, and got bad results, but this is not indicative of release-model performance. 3) There actually is a significant problem, which has been carefully hidden and spin-controlled by Intel. In any case, I'm not too worried (yet). Even if the report *is* true, the laptop I'm grabbing also switches from Fermi to Kepler, so total power draw should, at worst, balance out with the prior model. And I'm not much of one for overclocking.

If you guys are organizing WoW shit then I might start stealing my mother's account and playing again. i imagine it's a lot better with friends, and sipwicket's probably about as close as I'm going to get when WoW is involved
