So does it want the wordpress folder in root/etc/ ? or /var/www/etc/wordpress ?
Try using the chown command if permission are going funky.
Define XL for $99.99 on Newegg? Convince me and I'll buy a case for a computer I don't yet have!

Rate winner to vote for a buy just because its a good deal, rate funny if lolno? Easier than waiting for replies.
For starters its a VPS
but connecting to the ip works as it should
I need to re do it myself but im stressed out and not at home and my laptop is limited
Had someone do it and its giveing me
"Neither /etc/wordpress/config-djswebspace.co.cc.php nor /etc/wordpress/config-co.cc.php could be found.
Ensure one of them exists, is readable by the webserver and contains the right password/username."
trying to run the installscript it sasy its already been done and ect ect then i get this when ever i try something
Try it yourself at djswebspace.co.cc /
Not sure how he make it redirection but i'd like it so its just djswebspace.co.cc were it is installed to and not needing the /wordpress/
Ip is 204.93.166.43

The normal version is enough to fit any sort of normal computer and is fairly large as is though
Also they come with piss-poor fans (although silent) so upgrade those
Going to reinstall...can someone tell me the 1st thing i should do once i reinstall?
VPS is running fuck debain... ubuntu

Dude, I was just trying to help.
As you can see from my quote, you didn't say a VPS or what it was running.
That was totally uncalled for.

How about you start reading more posts instead of just one? You know? So you can stop being dumb. How many times have we been through this, you keep getting banned for a fucking reason.
Did you know that Google is a banned website at my school?
Did you know that Google is a banned website at my school?
My old school did that for about a month. They did it to block images.
They were/are quite dumb.
I have discovered i really only feel safe with ubuntu server 11.04 for one... now...
I'v reinstalled... if i goto my IP or domain it looks like theres a basic webserver already there...
Why? (After looking in htop.. adpache is already there? what?)
What is the 1st step i should take in getting this thing fucking working?
Its A minimal ubuntu 32 bit 11.04 server so i might be missing things... (I know nano is not installed be default! )
ssh details are as follows...in a pm...
Did you know that Google is a banned website at my school?
Certain search keyword were blocked at my uni.
Do you mean the entire site.
[editline]18th April 2012[/editline]
Cause that is pretty rediculous if it is.
Chown?
It allows you to take ownership of a directory or file.
For example
sudo chown -R christopher /var/www/
[editline]18th April 2012[/editline]
(-R = recursive)

From my once again limited linux knowlege I think that ubuntu server comes with Apache at stock.

Talking of linux and Ubuntu, do you have any idea why the Ubuntu installer stops at
[6.09815] SD 8:0:0:0: [sdb] Attached SCSI removable disk?
Since you seem to be the linux guru.

ALL of it. The search engine, Google Docs, Gmail, EVERYTHING. And I don't have plug and play hardware permissions or I'd just tether - I'm forced to use my data plan for basic school work, I might as well.
so fucking glad I graduate this year, the tech staff are a bunch of chimps.
Since you seem to be the linux guru.
Far from it. I just mess around with my server.
I'm not sure why it does that, no.

It confuses me because I don't have any SCSI devices, or ports.
I also disconnected my CD drive and external sata front panel header, just to make sure.

we had pretty restrictive blocks at the start of last year, then our tech dudes stopped giving a fuck. They play Brawl sometimes with us during slow classes and one recently joined our DnD group during lunch.
Content from this morning at school.
Friend: I think I'm gonna get an alienware PC, they're SOOO fast.
Me: What? Are you joking?
Friend: Well yeah they're like £2600 but it's because they're so fast and can run every game
Me: You can build a pc for about £600 that will run every game. (By this point I wasn't sure if he was serious, he had a big shit eating grin throughout the conversation)
Friend: Yeah but you can change the colours on the side of the alienware, and the keyboard LIGHTS UP
Me: What, it's colours who cares you don't even see them
Conversation sort of trailed off after this but I tried to explain that the components are marked up by about 350%, he didn't believe me but I'm pretty sure he isn't stupid enough to spend £2000 on it.

Alienware should be in the radiator business.
I have a friend with an alienware.
It's, uh, it's a piece of shit. Ugly, runs hot.
and I bet he doesn't even know to give it the regular cleaning a mobile device so often needs
Also you could buy an alienware case for about £100 or a old alienware for about £200, and replace all the parts. Then he can keep his fancy lights, yet still get it for half the price.

Along with the shit cooling.
Along with the shit cooling.
Mod it.
I'll have a look at it, just to see what features it has.
[editline]18th April 2012[/editline]
Yes, you shouldn't even consider getting the case, but if he insitant, it can be done.
[editline]18th April 2012[/editline]
If you use a H80, its do able, although with negative air pressure.
And replace all those dammed fans. They are REDICULOUSLY loud.

Yeah with some heavy modification to the case.
You forget Alienware/Dell uses BTX. Screw holes are different.

Shit, yep, so you would need to replace all the bigger fans, use a H80 for *decent* cpu cooling and remove or replace the crappy small ones aswell as change it to atx.
Didn't someone recently convert a XPS 720 to atx?
