Quick question, my neighbours contract is up for renewal soon and her old WM2002 satnav has no updates available. Is she better off grabbing an iPhone 3GS or a Samsung Galaxy Ace? I've tried out the Ace and its pretty speedy for its price. And I know that Google navigation is excellent. Hows the 3GS?
Nobody should buy a Galaxy S. I had the old i9000 and it's completely unusable without just flashing Cyanogenmod to eliminate all the bloat. Then you lose 720p30 recording, playback of codecs like .mkv and .flac is broken etc etc. But the Nexus S is good with its AOSP firmware. Though he did say he wanted a keyboard so it looks like it's a no go for Nexus devices.
My friend has a i9000 and there is nothing wrong with TouchWiz on it, it was smooth as hell.
I have a Kindle Touch and I can say that the web browser is close to unusable. If you're planning on buying a Kindle just for browsing the web, don't do it.
Doesn't the Kindle Touch run Android? Dolphin Browser's on the Amazon Appstore. [editline]21st April 2012[/editline] as is Opera if that's more your preference
Besides, I was on a ZTE Blade for 7 months til about 2 weeks ago, it wasn't that bad.

Father has s Galaxy Ace, It is pretty good( Better than my POS phone.) Uncle has a Galaxy S and a galaxy tab. Both are fine. I have never experienced the icon loading on their phone, only on my phone. Well, I only have 180MB of RAM.
It's even worse when they make a different bloody port for each product, instead of just keeping one proprietary port like Apple does.
Some company makes a charger for cars and homes that has nearly every charger for any handheld device on it. Best part is it was like $15 and it's saved my life so many times.
Been having laptop on battery saving for like a month, Just now i switched over to my EXREEEEEME MODE HNNNGGGG, meaning full screen light EVERYTHING IS SO BEAUTIFUL AND BRIGHT
what the fuck. I used to have a custom battery setting with almost exactly that name, +/- some E's N's and G's :v:

[editline]21st April 2012[/editline] as is Opera if that's more your preference
The Kindle Touch has some weird Linux-based firmware. Most of the UI and shit is half Java, half HTML..its like they wanted to do it in one or the other and said "fuck it" halfway through and went with the other. It uses awesome as the fucking window manager. And yes, it runs Xorg. I bet someone could port Openbox or something to it given enough time..Xterm already runs, in fact. Though you can't interact with it. :v:
Holy shit. My bubble wrap came in. The picture on Amazon must not have been to scale, because I was *expecting* a roll of bubble wrap about the size of a roll of duct tape. Instead, I got something about the size of a car wheel. Next time, I should actually look at the dimensions. 3/16" x 12" x 175" = a whoooole lot of bubble wrap.
Day of Silence sucks. I can't talk all day in support of LGBTQBBQSAUCE victims of bullying/suicide. At least it ends at 2:20 when the bell rings. I'm ripping this sticker off of my chest and screaming as I run to my car.
An ENTIRE DAY of silence? What the christ, the longest we've had is a minute! :v:
I'm pretty sure i saw the name in this thread about 2 years ago, Since that was when we upgraded from XP to Win7 in school Actually, Could you create your own power profiles in XP. I never looked
An ENTIRE DAY of silence? What the christ, the longest we've had is a minute! :v:
My sister participated in it, personally I don't see what being silent is going to do about bullying. Wouldn't it make more sense to speak up about it?
An ENTIRE DAY of silence? What the christ, the longest we've had is a minute! :v:
I can never participate in those because I have to be prepared to yell at people all day. i did wear my "LGBTerrific!" shirt that day though so I was still supporting gay rights/anti bullying/whatever
Give them to an orphanage, because orphans don't have parents
That's not true. I used to live in an orphanage, and I only knew one person there who had no parents. Nowadays, kids usually end up in orphanages when their parents are being terrible parents, or if the kid has phsychological problems and the parents are unable to handle them. I was a mix of the two. My father was extremely violent and beat both me and my mother. It ended up with a divorce, but it was too late for me. I was already showing signs of trauma at the age of 4. Eventually, my fear and agression problems became too much for my now alone mom to handle, and I had to be sent to an orphanage. (at the age of 7) I lived there in 4 and a half year, and was after a while diagnosed with PTSD. I had really big problems with fear and anger still, but it got better after a while. I eventually moved to a "fortified" foster home (means they're specialized in handling troubled kids). Then i managed to somehow cause tons of family trouble there. It was in the end decided that I should attempt moving home to my mother instead. And here I am still. Also, we had better computers at the orphanage, but we weren't allowed to use the internet so yeah :v: [editline]o[/editline] Okay apparently Facepunch's WYSIWYG editor messed my post up a lot, fixed it though.
Just managed to get a sealed and brand new antec kühler 620 for £40 shipped. fuck yeah. [editline]21st April 2012[/editline] goodbye refrigerant based cooler with jet engine/fan
why they're awful coolers
I won't be able to fit a hyper212 or anything like that in a coolermaster 360 also it will be quieter when i fit the gentle typhoon. I'm trying to turn my gaming PC into a HTPC

that has nothing to with it since they weren't mine [editline]21st April 2012[/editline] my xbox is the same one I've had since launch the curse isn't all the REAL [editline]21st April 2012[/editline] did I say launch? I meant lunch... (but no really, they're terrible coolers)
It's even worse when they make a different bloody port for each product, instead of just keeping one proprietary port like Apple does.
Nintendo did it weird. GPA SP charger stayed around for original DS. Then when the Lite came out, they switched to a different charger and kept that one throughout. (Which is kind of nice because now I have two of the same chargers for my 3DS and DSi, but nowhere to plug in the fat DS's charger.) What was wrong with the GBA SP charger?? Did they change batteries or what?

Nope, you gotta buy a brand new DS charger and insane markup!
The ports themselves look so similar to Micro USB as well, why haven't the EU had a good bitch about this yet?
The EU doesn't care because it's a market with only a few products. You've got at most two handheld consoles per year - one Nintendo, one Sony. Most of the time, not even that. And you never plug them into a computer, nor does anyone really expect a DS charger to work with a PSP. So really, you only have a handful - half a dozen - different *possible* chargers, max. And since some of them *are* compatible, it's usually even less. Smartphones, on the other hand, see hundreds of new models per year, from over a dozen significant manufacturers. And you quite often want to own multiple cables - I just bought *2* new cables for my phone, so I can have one at the docking station, one for my home computer, and one for my work computer. Thus, the EU decided to crack down on phone chargers, and don't really care that Nintendo's kind of a dick about them.
