Should they take out the command line out of Windows 8 because less than 5% of the userbase uses it or even knows how to use it? Your argument is flawed. Besides, where the FUCK is the logic in limiting the user what can they download and what they can't? If the user wants to download something, let the user download it!

They're called smartphones for a reason, they can browse the web, stream videos, use actual applications, open and edit documents, like, you know, a computer does.

My Numbers, Keynote, and Pages documents sync automatically, WITHIN THE APPS.

Chrome Beta for Android can import your current session from Chrome and you can continue browsing while travelling, it's a seamless transition between a computer and a phone. That's why I like Android, the fact the OS is designed to act as a portable desktop operating system, not a phone interface.

I want to be able to wake up in the morning knowing that the new app I am installing will work and that it was been made with my device in mind. I want to know that I can install the latest OS on the day its released [i]without[/i] tinkering on my computer. Frankly I could care less if my iPad can't open obscure file type X because that's not what its for. My desktop is for tinkering and fun, my laptop is for heavy school work and work work, my phone is for calls and on-the-go things, and my tablet is for everything else. Every one of those devices has a use in my life, some people need more, some need less. In the end it is down to personal choice and what your needs are! The conversation needs to stop being about brand names and needs to evolve into what you as the consumer need out of a product but at the same time respecting that it may not line up with someone else's needs.
