Would really like some help with this guys.
Have you tried any Linux live CD's to see if they would work?
My brain is in fact running a pirated version of Win 2000
How is that working out for you?
There are too many small parts in the motherboard to tell. Get RAM and let it POST.
Currently, I'm about to RMA some RAM that turns out to not work with the mobo. It's got the same stats and everything as other sticks, 1333 1.5V 9-9-9-24, but the H61M-VS is known to be a picky mobo when it comes to RAM, so right now, I get one short beep and no picture (using the IGP).
My brain is in fact running a pirated version of Win 2000 (In case of potential Warez ban consideration: That was a joke and my brain is running a fully licensed OEM copy of Windows Vista)
Amiga Workbench 3.0 here. I keep getting Guru Mediation errors. [editline]5th March 2012[/editline] Hold left click to reboot.
Have you tried any Linux live CD's to see if they would work?
Linux Live CDs work fine but it's the family laptop and the parents don't want Linux. [editline]5th March 2012[/editline]
Amiga Workbench 3.0 here. I keep getting Guru Mediation errors.
BeOS represent.
Linux Live CDs work fine but it's the family laptop and the parents don't want Linux.
Your installation media may be damaged? Anyway it may be worth DBAN'ing the drive if new media doesn't fix it. I can't imagine it being a hardware fault such as dodgy RAM.
How is that working out for you?
I have the attention span of a goldfish with severe braindamage and a very selective memory, I.e Fully of useless Mass Effect Trivia and Science that i'll never use, instead of say...The electronics course i'm taking Also boot errors
My brain is running Robco Unified OS.
Amiga Workbench 3.0 here. I keep getting Guru Mediation errors. [editline]5th March 2012[/editline] Hold left click to reboot.
I need a kickstart disk in the mornings. :saddowns:

The RAM seems to be fine and the system is stable on the LiveCD. I haven't been able to find any information on the screen with the Greyscale ribbon though.

[editline]5th March 2012[/editline] Its a bit of an arse on, I know. But its nice to know for sure what is not causing the problem.
There are too many small parts in the motherboard to tell. Get RAM and let it POST.
Found this. Remember that my RAM is not supported by the motherboard and am getting another pair. I get one short beep (not the boot beep). http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/tp/ami-beep-codes.htm I'm also afraid the piece may still be in my slot or on the mobo and could cause a short.
Have you tried dropping the HDD out and putting it into another laptop to completely rule out a hardware fault?
I would but I don't have another laptop that isn't from 2002 to check at the moment. The HDD did fail, which fucked up Windows in the first place, but I checked when backing stuff up and it's completely fine from the looks of things, oddly.
My brain is running a copy of Win 97 /w Encarta 95. (and to all the chucklefucks who yell at me for mentioning Win97, I briefly remember the computer we used to have ran Windows 97 or my memories became assfucked and it was infact 98.)
I want a Model M but it'd be way too loud and also I'd need to change the keycaps because you can't buy it with the Finnish layout Bah [editline]5th March 2012[/editline] There is no Windows 97
97 didn't exist.
It did, but it only came bundled with obscure brain brands, and was only sold in some parts of Poland. :v:

This thread doesn't have a track for to go off from.
You sure it wasn't a Chinese knock-off? Wow, this thread has gone off-track. :v:
Fairly sure there actually is a Chinese knock-off version of Windows 95 with all the hotfixes, and all instances of "Windows 95" changed to "Windows 97" :v:
Well, I a m sure my brain is running windows Me.
So you have strokes every couple hours?
I have a disc with 97 around here somewhere, it's a pirate copy (similar to XP black edition)
I have a disc with 97 around here somewhere, it's a pirate copy (similar to XP black edition)
Why the fuck would they make an OS for black people? I thought OS-s were universal.
My laptop keeps bluescreening and getting "disk read failure", Makol why have you done this, I only use it to connect to the internet. Content: 20:44 - Friend: whats the windows key again? 20:45 - Me: what 20:45 - Me: the one next to ctrl 20:45 - Friend: ok thanks He tries to explain things in my IT lessons and fails miserably too, usually getting 2-3 things wrong in one sentence and then gets angry with me when I correct him.
Why the fuck would they make an OS for black people? I thought OS-s were universal.
Is this... supposed to be a joke or something
