lol
So I take it they aren't as silent as many owners claim them to be?
So I take it they aren't as silent as many owners claim them to be?
they're quiet but silent is impossible, even if there's no audible noise from the fans you still have the noise of air moving past not really worth the cost though, GTs are a better choice
http://www.microsoft.com/games/flight/
I assume you've downloaded it. Any good?
I assume you've downloaded it. Any good?
It's pretty bad. Needs a lot of polish.
It's pretty bad. Needs a lot of polish.
Is it like FSX or something?
Is it like FSX or something?
Never played FSX
they're quiet but silent is impossible, even if there's no audible noise from the fans you still have the noise of air moving past not really worth the cost though, GTs are a better choice
Kinda figured, wrong choice of words on my part then.
I assume you've downloaded it. Any good?
It's pretty much free achievements if you're an GFWL/XBL achievement whore. But yeah, like Shadaez said, it needs a lot of polish. Plus the planes cost money and are over priced.
Oh dear... I think I'm gonna have to replace my heatsink fan soon. For the past few months it had gotten a loud buzzing to it but the temps remain unchanged so I didn't think much of it, but now it's quickly starting to get louder and it sounds like bad dubstep when I'm doing a lot at once. Temps are still okay but it's struggling to keep up. Bad part is, I barely know anything about coolers n' shit, and as you probably know, I am a pleb with a HP prebuilt. Sooo I'm at a loss at what I'd need to get when shit hits the fan (lol). Doesn't it matter what motherboard and/or CPU you have to determine what you'd need?
I used to host my website with hosting24.com. It was pretty good, but I wanted to move on to a VPS, for more control, and being able to SSH instead of only cPanel/FTP. It's finally setup, but I forgot about the domain name. Hosting24 FAQ says:
By registering your domain with Hosting24.com, you can be sure that the domain will be registered in your own name. The domain will become your own property and you can transfer it to any other company any time, if needed.
But their support ticket says:
You will need to enter the EPP key (also known as auth code) which can be found in your members area. Also you must disable privacy protection (if enabled) when transferring your domain name. Please note your account must be active to obtain EPP key. If your account is canceled, you must reactivate it first. Keep in mind refunds are not available for re-activated accounts.
So basically, I'm fucked. I've sent another reply asking if there's really no other way, because that would suck. :suicide:

I just thought the OP was immature and proved himself an idiot. [editline]1st March 2012[/editline] If he isn't trolling that is.
I just thought the OP was immature and proved himself an idiot.
Overclock.net maturity. oxymoron
Overclock.net maturity. oxymoron
Not all of them are immature. Just a vast majority.
So I take it they aren't as silent as many owners claim them to be?
To get the NF-P12 to be quiet, not silent, but quiet, you need to put on the adapter, and then it doesn't have the peformance it claims. They are very nice fans, but if someone is going for a quiet computer they need to really work out their airflow. For me, I LOVE these GentleTyphoons. I just ordered some of the AP15's to compare them.
Not all of them are immature. Just a vast majority.
The same can be said about many websites.
Overclock.net maturity. oxymoron
So then this doesn't quite apply and was a pointless post. no ur dumb
How many fans have you got? You're always buying them.
I myself have a box full of different fans. Some are ripped from prebuilts and others are in-the-box units.
I have: 3x Cougar 140mm 4x Cougar 120mm PWM 1x Gentle Typhoon 120mm 500RPM 1x Gentle Typhoon 120mm 800RPM 1x Gentle Typhoon 120mm 1150RPM 4x Gentle Typhoon 120mm 1850RPM *Soon* 1x Enermax T.B Silence 120mm 900RPM 1x Enermax T.B Silence 140mm 750RPM 3x Cooler Master 120mm R4 stock fans 2x Cooler Master 140mm R4 stock fan 3x Cooler Master 230mm Fan This is mainly so I can compare them. Charts are fine and numbers, but being able to see how they do infront of me is most important. The enermax TB silence fans are really really quiet, but feel rather cheap and have the pressure of a fart if there is any restriction. The cougars have assloads of pressure, but I can't see how they do undervolted and they tick badly. The GentleTyphoons have similar pressure curves to the cougars but the motor noise sounds like a smooth rushing sound through a forest. That really smooth sound where it just disappears into the sound of a room. Honestly, it's so fucking smooth of a sound you can't notice it. Hence me getting the 1850RPM ones. I need to get a fan controller as well.
Why so many fans? Also, do any of those 230mm fans have blue LEDs?
one does, but those are from my HAF 932. Also add a 200mm CM to that from the front of my Cosmos 2. I want to replace it with something better. It's like 19dB but pushes like a ants breath through the case. I plan on using my slower 500, 800RPM fans to put in a future NAS or something for a push pull through a case. Like one of those silverstone fortress thingy's
I'm jealous as fuck of Brt's life.
I can't wait for spring break so I can have more time to do some reviews and stuff. Reviews are great long term view farming. Create enough and you boost your baseline view ratio.
I myself prefer the mini-review you give at the end of a game.
I forgot what the end of a game was like. :v:

So far my only real concern with the Typhoons is that they come with 4-pins. How well do the 120mm Typhoon fans themselves respond to when being undervolted?
What CPU do you have?
AMD Phenom II X4 945
