We don't hear ourselves through our mouth, we hear ourselves from inside our head, which reverberates differently. As an example. In my head, I sound like barry white. As an example place your hand on the back if your head and sing out a low note, you'll feel vibrations.

It acts like a big reflector from my understanding. This is also where that little trick where you can unlock your car from much further by pointing the keyless remote under your jaw and tongue and shooting into the back of you head. It basically focuses it towards the car.

I don't know what to think of this.
