No, the 4000 series runs hots like that. My 4870 is around 58C idle.
Edit: and around 84C under load apparently.

My 4870 idles ~55c, I'd feel better if mine idled 50c. And that's even with my screen door letting cool air into the room, case fans almost maxed..

The problem is that when I run intel burntest my computer exceeds 100 degrees celsius and shuts off

My E7400's temp senors are broken though, they don't detect anything under 36c. I think it's actually running at like 29c.

That strikes me as being quite an old processor for such a modern graphics card.

I have no idea why it shows my GPU twice. I only have one 4850.
Anyone know why I can't get SMART readings? I can get HDD temperatures and whatnot if I put a drive into a USB enclosure, but SATA or eSATA drives aren't reporting anything.
My board is an evga 680i.
What are you using to take them?

We tried it on my old E6420, pushed it from 2.13 to 3.9, never went past 40C on load with 19C ambients :ohdear:
