I know about that, I was using it. I mean with his, which has tabs up the top (almost)
My bad. As long as I can still use the bookmark toolbar I don't care what the rest looks like.
That's in a small window. Maximised (much like the picture you posted is, and as is the one i compared to yours) it takes up less than yours. [editline]04:54PM[/editline] How many times do I have to say TRY IT FOR YOURSELF. I'm not photoshopping it, and I'm pretty sure it does it on every OS. So nice try. This is pretty hilarious. [editline]04:55PM[/editline] Minimised, it has slightly more space up the top so that it's not too small compared to other windows, and has room to click to drag it around. [editline]04:56PM[/editline] You can't get yourself out of this because I am 100% being truthful and correct, just download the program and see that I'm right. How hard is that?
I think you missed the part where I DON'T HAVE VISTA OR W7. I see no point in wasting $150+ on an OS that's already EOL, especially when XP x64 and 2000 do everything I want. I have W7 ISOs from MSDN, but cba to install them on anything just to test what firefox looks like.
I said twice now that it works in windows XP. It just won't be transparent. [editline]05:22PM[/editline] Maybe I need to say it a few more times: It works on Windows XP, it works on Windows XP, it works on Windows XP.
did you know that it works on Windows XP? :v:
Yeah hey, that's funny. I heard it works in Windows XP too.
Silver theme <3
Yeah hey, that's funny. I heard it works in Windows XP too.
i heard that who cares if it works on XP? its a peice of shit OS now. WINDOWS 7 AHOY!
i heard that who cares if it works on XP? its a peice of shit OS now. WINDOWS 7 AHOY!
yes but now he doesn't have an excuse not to see that i am right.
yes but now he doesn't have an excuse not to see that i am right.
k does it work on windows 2k?
i'm not sure. go try it
i'm not sure. go try it
i'd rather not use windows 2k
same.
yea except google chrome is missing options. you'd have to fit all the stuff in the firefox menus into that space. which either means making everything an icon, or making a larger menu in the button.
No, you would have the File, edit, view and so on menus on there, and then having the stuff under those pop out, just like it does now. So you could say that you take the menu, exactly as it is now, put it horizontal and put it under the tool button.

People have probably already said this, it looks like safari.
To clear things up. Chrome's tabs do go all the way to the top of the screen in XP too when maximized. He didn't crop it out. As for the menu bars, a lot of that stuff is never used. Everything that is actually ever used in the firefox menubar, is in both of the chrome menu buttons, just in a more consolidated and intuitive way. If you want to do something with the page, you use the menu with the paper icon. If you want to do something to the entire browser, you use the wrench menu. Anything that is in firefox's menubar, that isn't in chrome's is implemented somewhere else. Like the history menu in firefox is a history page in chrome. The bookmarks menu is the bookmark bar. Firefox seems to like having access to things in multiple places, creating clutter. Just look at how many ways you can look at the browser history. You can go to View>Sidebar>History, or History>Show all History, or the list in the history menu, or by clicking the arrow beside the forward and back arrows. Why is it in so many places? 3 of which are in the menu bar. The same goes for bookmarks too, it's in 3 places.
it looks great
This looks great, I can't wait till Windows 7 comes out and I can finally upgrade from XP.
Based on the drawing a few pages back.
Not sure I'm digging where the tools and favourites are at the very top. It's a nifty idea, but I don't like the look of the elongated bar now. Plus they are already like, right below it too.
Why did they change the RSS icon?
Why did they change the RSS icon?
Which is weird, because MS worked with Mozilla to standardize the icon in the first place. (By adopting Mozilla's in IE)
The menu bar is only wasteful if you let it be. Might be a bit more cluttered, but that's what you guys seem to want.
Which is weird, because MS worked with Mozilla to standardize the icon in the first place. (By adopting Mozilla's in IE)
Yeah I was gonna say was it not a standard but Apple use like a blue box with RSS in it. At the very least PSP and PS3 use it (I think) so it's pretty much a defacto standard
