that doesnt make them under the URL bar.
http://www.google.com/googlebooks/chrome/med_18.html
Did they fixed those memory leaks yet?
What memory leaks. Tell me and show me proof that Firefox is leaking memory. Go ahead. I'll wait.
I don't like it, actually. For some reason I just can't get used to chrome's interface. I mean, when you've been using almost the same interface since you were 4 and then you go to the chrome interface the first thing you say is "Where the hell is the File menu?". But that's just me. Maybe after using it for a while i'd like it more. I will say it is sexy though.
What memory leaks. Tell me and show me proof that Firefox is leaking memory. Go ahead. I'll wait.
Well let's see, thousands of people complain that FireFox takes up 100% cpu load when it is ideling very frequently, and it's a memory whore
Well let's see, thousands of people complain that FireFox takes up 100% cpu load when it is ideling very frequently, and it's a memory whore
I said proof. Prove it.
http://www.google.com/googlebooks/chrome/med_18.html
still not under the URL bar. also, i see ads in my google chrome. whats the chrome equivalent of adblock?
I don't want this. I really hope I won't be forced to use that look if I update to version 3.7. Simplifying stuff is annoying.
still not under the URL bar.
Whaaaaaaa I can't have things the way I want whaaaa
also, i see ads in my google chrome. whats the chrome equivalent of adblock?
Oh boo hoo ads. How about supporting the site instead of rejecting them.
I don't want this. I really hope I won't be forced to use that look if I update to version 3.7. Simplifying stuff is annoying.
You've never been forced to use the default theme.
I said proof. Prove it.
There
Whaaaaaaa I can't have things the way I want whaaaa Oh boo hoo ads. How about supporting the site instead of rejecting them.
how about i just use firefox and i get what i want? WOW GREAT IDEA
There
Entirely your fault.
Umm no, i'm not the only one who have this issue where firefox's resource useage takes a very high spike after a few minute of usage, even with one tab open
Entirely your fault.
what is this i dont even
Entirely your fault.
firefox does leak memory after a few hours of leaving it open. but at least i get my options and tabs in the spot i want. and addons
To me, 5 minutes of usage
firefox does leak memory after a few hours of leaving it open.
You mean days? I've never seen it exceed 80,000 K unless I have 30 tabs open or it's been open/my computer has been on for a few days.
Watch this: http://media.longhornfusion.net/misc/FFMemory.swf Firefox 2 (note that FF 3 and 3.5 have even better memory management and 3.5 uses the least amount of memory than any of the other popular browsers). I loaded a page with 200+ desktop-sized images and 30 tabs open all on different pages. At the very beginning the 200+ desktop-sized images page wasn't open. Then when I did you can see it spike. When the page was done loading watch it fall.
You mean days?
~6 hours also, its probably my addons that cause it. i have no idea. oh but its at 175k right now. pretty good.
What are you doing wrong?
Well the thing is that firefox spikes to 100% CPU Usage on GOOGLE if I leave it there for about 15 minutes, and just takes up 100% of CPU and about 400MB of RAM even when it is not doing anything This doesn't always happen, but do happen frequently While lots of people does not have this problem, but i'm not the only one who experiences this issues
What are YOU doing wrong? (My computer's been on for the last week FYI, that's why so many processes are open.)

No CPU usage on google with a load of other tabs open is only taking up 200mb
what
i'm pretty sure it depends on the addons. because my FF uses more memory on this computer than my laptop.
I'm honestly waiting for Firefox to just start fresh and build up 4.0 from scratch. I have a hunch they will do this, because no matter how many updates the do, firefox manages to hog resources. I mean, it's understandable... web browsing is in certain ways getting more, "strenuous?" I'm not sure whether to accept the high memory usage or just get annoyed.
Entirely your fault.
I haven't chuckled so hard in weeks.
i'm pretty sure it depends on the addons. because my FF uses more memory on this computer than my laptop.
Addons definitely effect your memory usage.
Addons definitely effect your memory usage.
yea because the default startup memory for FF is like 30k and with my addons, its like 100k
