The 300 series is barely half a year to a year old and supports up to DX 10.1. You're worse than the people that whine and bitch about not having DX11 when no games besides Dirt 2 use it yet and DX10 is only beginning to penetrate the market and become a requirement (and even then only Just Cause 2 is guilty of that.) Intel i7 has been out for 6 months now, yeah, except the problem here is that it's the best CPU on the market. If you want the best, what else are you going to get? Hmm?
Then if you're talking about the best, clearly DX10.1 is not anymore is it? Hmm? :) (Idc if games are not using it, newer versions of software push game developers to create better games with it...I really hope they stop creating games with low system requirements and really start pushing the hardware out there right now...really only literally a handful of games do that). Anyways, I'm just saying, Apple usually lags behind in hardware, even if just a few months, you can barely customize what you want on the site, they charge you through the nose and out the ass for it, blahblahblah, you know the list. [editline]02:48AM[/editline] also, i didn't pony them off, they are good pieces of hardware. i'm just saying Apple usually lags behind a few months, it's no big deal man :) [editline]02:49AM[/editline] i guess a few years in my other post should be altered :/ [editline]02:51AM[/editline] Also, this is currently what I have my eyes set on (hopefully, I can bring the GPU to a 5850 for better battery life): Sager NP8690 (Built on Clevo W860CU) Custom Gaming Laptop - 15.6” HD+ 16:9 LED Backlit Wide screen (1600x900) Super Clear Glare Type Screen - Standard Dead Pixel Policy - Intel® Core™ i5-540M, 2.53-3.06GHz, (3MB L3 cache) - - IC Diamond Thermal Compound - CPU + GPU - ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD5870 1024MB PCI-Express GDDR5 DX11 - No External Graphics Card - No Video Adapter - ~ 4,096MB DDR3 1333MHz Dual Channel Memory (2 SODIMMS) (Requires 64-Bit to utilize Full 4GB) - Standard Finish - ~Combo 8x8x6x4x Dual Layer DVD +/-R/RW 5x DVD-RAM 24x CD-R/RW Drive w/Softwares - ~ 500GB 7200RPM (Serial-ATA II 300 - 16MB Cache) - No Back Up Hard Drive - No Floppy Drive - Internal 7-in-1 Card Reader (MS/MS Pro/MS Duo/MS Pro Duo/SD/Mini-SD/MMC/RS) - Internal Bluetooth + EDR - Intel® Ultimate-N 6300 - 802.11A/B/G/N Wireless LAN Module - No Network Accessory - Built in 2.0 Megapixel Camera - No TV Tuner - Sound Blaster Compatible 3D Audio - Included - Basic Black Business Case - Included - 11.1V Smart Li-Polymer battery pack 3800mAh, 42.18Wh - No Car Adapter - None Standard* - No Dock/Hub/Adapter - Integrated Fingerprint Reader - No External Keyboard or Mouse - No Notebook Cooler - No Operating System Standard - Drivers & Utility Software Only - No Office Software - No Software Bundle - 3 Year Labor* 1 Year Parts Warranty Lifetime -24/7 DOMESTIC Based- Toll Free Telephone Tech Support (Labor Warranty through Xotic PC) Includes FREE Shipping Both Ways for Warranty Repairs - No Xotic PC Gear
