Good luck finding a 1920x1200 monitor for under $200.
You must be really poor if you can't pay $200 for a monitor.
what? how am I uninformed? and if this is entertainment for you, then you are one sad person.
Entertainment is subjective. There is no universal "right" or "wrong" form.
You must be really poor if you can't pay $200 for a monitor.
not everyone is made of money.
You must be really poor if you can't pay $200 for a monitor.
some people have more important things to spend money on, like food, gas, living expenses, etc. two monitors is not a necessity. It's like having 2 cars. You only need 1
Fixd.
poor people have more important things to spend money on, like food, gas, living expenses, etc.
GG. I win.
GG. I win.
no, you lose, the game of LIFE is impossible to win. And every time you use that "I WIN GG" shit I begin to think that you must be 12 or something.
some people have more important things to spend money on, like food, gas, living expenses, etc. two monitors is not a necessity. It's like having 2 cars. You only need 1
Which he doesn't have to worry about since he is living under is moms house.
no, you lose, the game of LIFE is impossible to win. And every time you use that "I WIN GG" shit I begin to think that you must be 12 or something.
He's just trying to make himself feel good.
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4942559&CatId=4420 I bought this one Lol rate me dumb as you want for whatever reason you did, but I got 2 of them by mistake for price of one Gah, appears it was bumped thread and this is no longer valid.
I know that I'm late, and this topic has been decided already, but I just want to voice my opinion. Great monitor, and the Black Friday sale made it like 2/3 the current price.
Wasn't what I was looking for. Needs HDMI. But I already ordered my monitor.
Hardly. I find it funny to argue with uninformed nerds such as yourself. (User was banned for this post ("Self confessed troll" - verynicelady))
vnl has come to the rescue!
1920x1080? Isn't that a bit thin? Wouldn't you prefer 1920x1440?
Finally. I was getting tired of him.
Mind telling us why 1920x1200 is "Superior" in every way? [editline]08:12PM[/editline] 16:9 is the HD format :downs:
well for computing, 1920x1200 would inarguably be bigger as it is indeed taller and thus more workspace. if all you're going to do is watch movies, correct, doesn't matter. for games if you have to have 16:9 for the field of view (like me), correct, doesn't matter, but if you don't care about that, then for anything aside for movies, it's better to have 1920x1200 than 1920x1080. in fact, having a 1920x1200 monitor doesn't make watching 1920x1080 movies look like shit, just means you happen to have a taller resolution. and for argument's sake, hardly any movies are really 16:9. usually they're 1.85:1 (which would be 1920x1040), 2.35:1, 2.39:1 or 2.4:1
Oh yeah. I may dual screen. I have an older monitorthat is the same res.
He wanted an rca jack on it that is why we are rating you dumb.
I'm quite sure he ordered one without an RCA jack
Take_Opal, what GPU do you have?
why does that matter
Just saying. We were talking about resolutions. [editline]09:27AM[/editline] I probably won't cause my GPU can for some reason hardly handle 1920x1080. Its a 8800GT "Superclocked" model. I have 4GB DDR2 RAM and a Q6666 CPU. But I still manage to lag a lot in some games. Even Gmod in some cases.
yeah you might want to look into getting a newer card. Possibly the Nvidia GTX200 series or an ATI
I'm only familiar with nvidia. Is anything ATI superior and worth branching out to? I was planning on getting a GTX725 [editline]09:37AM[/editline] I've had issues with the 8800GT since day one. It would constantly overheat but it just quit one day. Strange. Artifacts every-now-and-then. Not performing well. Etc.

gtx275 is good, a 295 is essentially just two of those quickly glancing at specs.
Whoa... Pricey. Uneccessary as well.
It's not that much more than a GTX 275. Some of the GTX 275 models are more expensive.
I found like five for ~$250 while 295s are ~$600
I found like five for ~$250 while 295s are ~$600
Go for the 4890 only 200 bucks and almost same performance.
