Those fans are huge, god damn. Makes the GPU look tiny.
It's beautiful. I think that's a SIlverstone case, and I fully support the vertical orientation. I just love the layout of that bastard, even if it's gigantic.
It's a silverstone ft-02, it's really expensive but a great case. The fans are 3x180mm
Holy shit that is insanely expensive. wow
Holy shit that is insanely expensive. wow
I still have the cm cosmos ii from ~2011 it's massive and cost $300 but I'm glad I got it
Tech Jesus did a revisit of the case and loved it:
Holy shit that is insanely expensive. wow
Once upon a time I got a $500 case... [editline]27th February 2018[/editline] Still have it, obviously. Never need another main case again.
It'll be hard to justify moving my BF and my's computers out of their Fractal Design Define R5's, so we probably won't, regardless of upgrades. They're such perfect cases for midsize designs.
Here I am with my $40 micro-atx case and I thought I was hot shit

It's also literally silent, even when gaming. Fractal knows their shit
Well, do you want a new case? I'm sure it would work fine with whatever you put in it. Whether you want to get a new one is entirely up to you [editline]28th February 2018[/editline] Just make sure the cooler you choose will fit inside it. It shouldn't be too hard to find a good one that fits.
I've actually been having some trouble finding a decent case for my upgrade. The only thing that I need is 3 dvd/bluray drive slots and 4 front panel usb ports.
just installed that 1080, get about 15000 in firestike but my cpu is old and im waiting for zen+ in the stress test maxes out about 63° i think thats pretty decent [t]https://i.imgur.com/qMEB2q6.jpg?1[/t]
Does your PC take off when you turn it on by any chance?
It weighs 15KG empty so no
What? No, refurbished parts should be working. Really nothing wrong with them although it is a bit more risky as they don't have the full warranty.
I would tend to stay away from refurbished motherboards though just because they're kind of a pain to swap out compared to other components.
So I'm putting a water block on a 1080 ti. This one specifically https://m.newegg.com/products/9SIAC8W6MV1012 Thing is, they didn't ship this https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-fc1080-gtx-ti-i-o-single-slot-bracket single slot io bracket even though they should've. So is this thing required? Should I wait for them to ship me one or would I be ok with the ordinary bracket?

The single slot IO bracket doesn't come with that block actually from what I understand. It's not required, especially since I doubt you're going to be installing an additional card with IO right next to the 1080, it'll just look a tad off.
It's rare that cards even have single slot brackets with blocks. IIRC this is something EK has started doing fairly recently.
It's rare that cards even have single slot brackets with blocks. [editline]5th March 2018[/editline] Also does anyone remember that kid whose dad bought him a server and asked if he could cut off part of the pcie to fit it into a 4x slot?
Doesn't the founder edition come with a dvi port on the second slot? Oops I'm looking at a 1080. For some reason EVGAs 1080ti has a dvi port while the FE does not.
everyone's favorite part of building a new pc is the fucking around with windows and microsoft all day because they can't get their shit together and let you activate a product you paid for
anyone recommend a 1U heatsink for an LGA1151 that will cool an e3-v6 1240?

Thinking about switching out my NXZT S340, any suggestions? I'm budgeting max 200$, but the less the better. I'm looking for a mid tower that supports ATX, fits a GTX 1080 + Hyper 212 EVO cooler and got space for at least 2 SSDs and 3 HDDs. Side window + integrated lights is not a must but if there's any ~cool~ options for my budget then why not. Preferably a clean & minimal looking case. Sound dampening is important to me though, especially for the HDDs as my current case is very noisy due to the vibration.

There's a window version and TG version but that means less sound dampening on that side. Less than $100. Edit: oops I misread the SSD and HDD part. It can do 2 HDDs and 3 SSDs. If you're willing to sacrifice a drive or upgrade and merge, I still think you'd be pretty satisfied

When I upgraded my grandfathers PC from his old junk, I picked the Define R5 and it really impressed me. I checked out the new R6 and that looks sleek too. I'll pick up a FD case as soon as I got the money to drop on it.
