[thumb]http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y99/aqua-lover/desktop102011.jpg[/thumb] Dual monitors are the best computer-related thing I've ever done. Using a combination of Rainmeter and RocketDock for the left screen. Somebody came up with some really cool Deus Ex skins and posted them on the Edios forums. Right screen is for gaming and fullscreen work, left is extra workspace, iTunes, or video. I want everything about my computer to look as much like a sci-fi movie as possible.
go get one of them patcher whatsits and install something like appows 2010 (use haze unless u suck), then never ever consider using a dock on 7 again except for where it looks good (above screenshot is not an example of this)
its not done yet, and it does look good when not zoomed in also thanks for the link, I'll probably end up using that
Pretty clear and uncluttered... I prefer a crisp landscape photo for the background most of the time. I purposely didn't match the icons on the dock. Each one having a unique color and shape makes it easier for me to recognize them faster. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/tYRKj.jpg[/img_thumb] My monitor isn't huge so it should take long to load. 1600x900, PNG format.
Seriously, why are you guys using docks on Windows 7? I know I bitch about this every time I see someone do it but it makes no sense to me. You can do nearly everything those dock programs can do while saving space and system resources on the taskbar.

I suppose it's about time I posted here. My monitors are different heights, so it lines up properly. I guess I should explain why I use a dock... I just like keeping my superbar somewhat tidy, and I use a stack docklet, so I have a lot of crap on there As for the second clock, its extremely useful when playing fullscreen games.

Set that to it's "Aero" theme and suddenly I have 10x the space for programs and it still looks fucking sexy. I just haven't been using it because I forgot to backup my dock settings in the last format and I don't want to have to set it up AGAIN.
Tabs, not stacks.
I understand that, but they both do the same thing.
Image shamelessly stolen from a random thread in the Gmod forum, but it's great. [editline]7th October 2011[/editline] While we're at it...
actually i'm going to do it because the wallpapers don't really match and i hate that on dual-monitor desktops
I understand your point, but I haven't seen any dual-monitor wallpaper that I like and works for me. My second monitor isn't exactly aligned with my laptop's primary screen, either. But in the end, it doesn't really bother me since my primary screen is always covered anyway.

I would change your start orb and visual style to match that wallpaper.
Something small but practical. such as a tiny Rainmeter weather thing.
:byodood: Why would you ruin the niceness of his desktop with literally the most pointless use for Rainmeter? Get a fucking window. There's a better method.
:byodood: Why would you ruin the niceness of his desktop with literally the most pointless use for Rainmeter?
example. also: "tiny" - something barely noticeable. QUICKLY TELL ME THE TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE USING ONLY YOUR WINDOW
I can tell you that it is mid fifties outside, and that's only from sticking my head out.
