Can someone recommend a good theme for Windows XP? My current one sucks and I'm sick of seeing ugly. :frown:
Yes, it's called Windows 7.

Also hello Panda.
^ That's pretty damn cool
Please upload an archive of those wallpapers.
And also the PSD of that if you have it.
I do have the PSD file too. Later on I'll upload that, plus the wallpapers. If you want the default images I can provide those too (most were pulled from 4Walled and Wallbase).
Right now though I have to leave for a bit, I've got a meeting that I must attend.

I just downloaded CD Art Display. I love it.
EDIT: Re-uploaded... fucking compression...

No, it's called recommending a theme for Windows XP instead of trying to be witty.
I use either tri or SlanXP.
both of those are perfectly serviceable themes. Anything in particular that you're looking for?

Watercolor Emico Blue is my favorite XP theme: http://gelosea.deviantart.com/art/Watercolor-Emico-Blue-87650169

Took the picture myself last year, not bad for a little 12 megapixel Samsung camera....

Found some non-space walls this time and removed the out of place WP7 tiles.
Yay for wallbase.cc!
I'm trying to apply a new theme, which I've done a bunch before, but for some reason, Shine 2.0 won't reapply even though I've been using it for months. I keep getting the Windows classic theme. Aero still works when I switch to it.
Use the Universal theme patcher instead of UXstyle.
That's what I had to do to get it to work.
Remember to reboot after patching.

REMEMBER TO UNINSTALL UXTHEME BEFORE USING THE THEME PATCHER.
VERY IMPORTANT.

I haven't ever needed to restart ever before. I don't see why I need to now. But to not be a dick, I'll do that now.

That's odd.
Nope, restarting didn't work. I'll uninstall UxTheme and use Universal Theme patcher then.
EDIT: Oh, I see what's wrong. At one point my computer updated to SP1, and I guess the change wouldn't come into effect until I needed to change themes.
However now I can't get to the uninstaller to work...

Got it all working. I'm half way done with my desktop renovation now. Thanks for your help, Scoot

and lavacano
I'm using the UXstyle patcher and it's happened to me everytime I tried to switch themes I've been using for more than a day or so. Usually, uninstalling and reinstalling the patcher works. No rebooting needed, I might add.
Alright, I need some sort of icon solution. I'm using Fences, but I would much prefer something that can roll out from the sides. I've see it done with ObjectDock Pro, but I'm not looking to pay for it. Any other alternatives?
Free ObjectDock can auto-hide.... I've done that myself.
And I can put it on the side.

No, it was similar, but it was more like little fences that pop up on mouse over from the bar.
But I think I have it figured out now. I'll post a picture when I finish
Oh woe is me, guess who's back Aunt Jemima!
