What's the point in the desktop toolbar if you don't have desktop icons off on the desktop itself?

I use [url=http://www.irradiatedsoftware.com/cinch/index.html]Cinch[/url] though, which is nagware unless you buy it. There's also a third option which is a general window management system, but I cannot remember the name.
