Okay the video recorder shit is really weird, but the "black out things" look like meters bro. Bad color choice though.
Print Scrn
Paste into mspaint.exe

What time was it when you took this screenshot?
Fuck if we knew
A clock that large is only useful if you need to see the time when you don't have another source of time and you're sitting far from the computer.
... Or you're 2/3rds fucking blind.
Sorry, even though I use Rainmeter that's still a bit silly looking.
Also is your Prt Scr button broke or something?
Desktop updated, wanted to get rid of Christmas shit. Made the wallpaper myself.

I didn't get the TTGL reference. I thought it was whoever is in your avatar before I saw what you wrote. :v:

Nothing exciting. But when I was looking for this picture in my dropbox folder, I found a four year old picture of my computer titled "awesome desktop"

It was the very first picture I uploaded to dropbox, back during the beta in 2007.

I fail to see how that resembles my avatar in any way. Oh well :v:
The "commercial break" pictures that pop up in 99% of animes for TTGL have the style of art that's in the picture, if you didn't know

Its meant to be used on a 1920x1080 but this is on my old laptop that runs at 1280x800. I'm working on the scaling right now.

Even now you mention it I have a hard time seeing it, but whatever. :v:
And I guess it's the color scheme.
Finally got around to making my own dock icons and the like, as the others had an odd white haze behind them that I found off-putting after a while. I can finally say that most every visual customization (apart from the actual coded elements) was made by me, and that's a very satisfying feeling.

Is it just me, or do I have a sick obsession with soft gradients?

Also, I'm having a problem with my desktop background; When applied as a .png, Windows rapes the quality and it looks horrible. JPEG files work better, but there's still a lot of noticeable compression. Is there any way to remedy this, or is that just how it's supposed to be?

What dock is that, it's really sexy! Your icons also remind me of these that I'm hoping to use: http://brsev.deviantart.com/art/Token-128429570

Not sure if this is what you mean, but if I right-click and set a PNG as desktop background, it converts it to a low quality JPEG automatically. I have to manually save it as a higher-quality JPEG and set that as desktop background.
(Which, in the Dev Preview of Windows 8, didn't work either)
imgur compresses the image, try something like Dropbox. What dock is that by the way, it's really sexy! Your icons also remind me of these that I'm hoping to use: http://brsev.deviantart.com/art/Token-128429570
When I mentioned that compression issue, I was referring to my actual desktop picture, which I created myself and which is stored on my computer physically. In a picture viewer or editor, the lines are clean and crisp, but when applied as a desktop background, they become slightly blurred, and the whole image gains that sort of "Internet-friendly JPEG" look to it. It seems that Imgur did a fine job with that screengrab, since it looks pretty much exactly like my desktop, and the only artifacts I can see are the ones associated with my background image that I previously mentioned.
I'm using ObjectDock (since it properly supports 64 bit OSes and Aero, unlike RocketDock or similar programs that I've found), and the skin is made by me. I used to use a skin very similar to what I have now, which was called "Aero Frost" I think, but I found it to be a bit too opaque for my tastes.
Thanks for the compliment on the icons, by the way. Glad to see someone likes them besides me.

Looks like I accidentally saved the background image as a JPEG at lower quality. Seems saving it at 100% quality fixed the issue. Thanks Horsedrowner, for the suggestion.

And yes, it is the authentic version of Windows 7. There's a reason that's there and I'm not going to tell.
Also, imgur always ruins my desktop images quality.

Because you need to run an unsigned driver on a 64-bit copy of Windows?
