no just attention whoring
Terminals have always been the best part of Linux. To say it's attention whoring is pretty dumb.
Scrot has a delay flag, it is possible to take a screen in Linux without showing the terminal.

I need some help with installing custom themes. I've patched using universal theme patcher (as admin). When I click on the custom theme nothing happens other than windows makes the chime noise. What I'm a missing or doing horribly wrong? Theme in question: http://zainadeel.deviantart.com/art/Shine-2-0-for-Windows-7-172671190

I've done every step that is listed in the description for Shine except the last copy explorerframe.dll thing. Must have over looked that.

To say it's attention whoring is pretty dumb.
The terminal is the fastest and easiest way to get stuff done through a few console commands. It's used frequently. When I was on Linux, I left the terminal open always just in case I needed it, and I usually did when I wanted to install a program or something. The people who think that they're trying to look like hackers or are attention whoring are just close-minded e-peen wanking idiots and should stop whining.

I'm not sure about you, but in my terminal on every Linux system I run I have archey run everytime I open the terminal.

Leaving a tool of functionality unminimized is a tool for attention whoring? Really? Okay, following your logic anyone leaving a music program open is an attention whore for showing off how much music they've got, and anyone leaving their startbar open is an attention whore for showing off their programs, and anyone using rainmeter is an attention whore for showing off all their stats. Using a terminal is convenient, and me leaving it up is not me trying to look cool for the world, it's showing my OS and what I do with it. You're too much of an impressionable idiot to understand this.

Yeah, didn't think so. PS: Those are some pretty terminal tabs, although I can't say I'd be able to use the terminal with such a low opacity with all the crap I usually have behind it.
Nothing too special, but I like to keep everything as neat and organised as possible.
