I keep everything that isn't important hidden. MSN, Skype, MSE, Dropbox and system info (battery, wireless and speakers) are always visible for easy access.
Same as my desktop, just... Minus battery. :v:

Hiding is usually on for the Dock. Iron is the counterpart to Obsidian, my Win 7 desktop.
