I don't blindly hate the browser. I do, in fact, have legitimate reasons for using ff4 over ie9, and, in the case of this old as fuck shitty laptop, chrome. IE9, while incredibly superior to 8 and previous versions, still lacks in terms of common functionality of other browsers (see: large selection of addons (i am aware safari and, i think, opera lack this, but we're not discussing those)). It still does not conform to quite a few web standards, and although it is laudable of microsoft to have introduced HTML5 functionality, ie9 is just now getting quite a few things other browsers have had for [i]years[/i]. It still has quite a few problems with security, and is behind most browsers in terms of speed. And no, i'm not referring to your specifically engineered synthetic benchmarks, i'm talking about, wait for it here, [i]actual browsing experience.[/i] IE9 is great for people who have no clue what they're doing on the internet, perfect in fact. They don't need the features available in the other 2 popular browsers (again, opera and safari need not apply.), and they don't want to do anything other than check hotmail and send people updates on facebook about their new cat. However, if you actually know what you're doing, and [i]still[/i] say IE9 is superior to firefox, that's fine with me. See what i just did there? It's called letting people have their own opinions. I didn't call you an idiot for using a certain browser. I didn't say your browser sucked with no real basis behind my words. You can do whatever the fuck you want on the internet, just don't come with false and unimportant information and expect people to just willingly swallow it.

oh and if i didn't have access to either chrome or ff4 for some reason, i'd definitely use IE9. I do like the browser, it just doesn't deserve the praise you're giving it.

The interface is pleasing, the multi-pane views are so damned handy and the highlighting works brilliantly.
It's definitely worth the money.
