Any tips? I've always failed miserably at applying themes on windows.
May I have a link to you background? It's pretty sweet.

Icons at top are usually faded until I mouse over them. Also quality of the picture is low

For fun, I decided to make my desktop look like command central. Also, I only use about 5% of the information on it. Probably not going to keep it like this, anyways.

Are there any good circle shaped launchers/docks for windows 7? I could've sworn that there used to be a kick ass circle shaped dock that reminded me of the Crysis weapon switching system. I could be horribly wrong though, because I've only been able to find this kind of gross looking circle dock.

I wanna say Gizmo but I'm not sure if that's right.

I downloaded Ultramon just so I can have a screenshot ready but it turns out the crack was a virus. Who would've known, "key.exe" was a virus. Thank god for MSE.

shouldn't you be thanking microsoft for mse
shouldn't you be thanking microsoft for mse
I never had anything against them. In fact, I recommend MSE to everybody. Gets the job done without taking up all my system resources.

Hmm, Gizmo is interesting, but I don't think it's quite what I was thinking about. I don't know much else about it.

Rainmeter skin please?

I haven't done that much to my desktop recently, keeping everything simple
So are there any Rainmeter skins (or any other programs that I could use to prettify my desktop) like this one?

What foobar skin is that?
I'm starting to play with my desktop again. Looking for a good rainmeter skin.

I wonder if people use Rainmeter because they actually use it, or because it "looks good".

Because in 9/10 cases, it doesn't.

ZiX++ by neonasahi, I re-coloured some of the theme to purple

I only use rainmeter on a seperate screen to see computer stats, that is all. There's not really that much point in having rainmeter on your desktop with one screen when you're going to have browser windows and games over it
I just use it to replace the ugly-ass recycle bin with a small icon w/ text next to it saying how much shit is in it
I have no other use

I use it mostly to manage disk space and to check my download speeds so I don't have to open utorrent to check, whether it looks good or not doesn't really concern me. Even though I do like the way it looks.
I have a weather and a mail checker on Windows.
On Linux I can just Ctrl+F12 and get a metric buttfuck of stuff in front of me.

Laptop, kept it simple.
Oh god those icons... :byodood:
