I'll be putting Windows xp on it, and it won't be used for anything but email\word\internet. Total is 238.38 with shipping. [editline]05:20PM[/editline] Changed the RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134046
It's a waste to buy 80GB HDD's, they're terrible overpriced in GB/$ if you compare them to a 500GB. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152181&cm_re=500gb_samsung_spinpoint-_-22-152-181-_-Product I know she might not be using full 500GB, but this like 0.1$/GB, while that 80GB is aroung 2$/GB...
Great, the Memory doesn't work with it. The little cut in the bottom of the memory doesn't line up with the bump on the slot :| I even called because I wasn't sure about it and the guy told me that they were compatible. I put the rest together and plugged it in, got one medium beep followed by one long beep which is memory error according to foxconn, so I need to call in the morning and get the part replaced. Any suggestions?
Call the guy and tell him hes a fucking dumbass for that.
You probably bought ddr2 with ddr3 motherboard or vise versa
The guy told me that even though the standard says DDR3 that this one would work. I had a feeling that didn't sound right, but the guy blatantly told me. And I have it recorded.

The second time I called them, the service guy flat out told me that the company doesn't really train the people for Customer Service at all, and that they don't know what they're doing.
Yeah, the guy told me that they generally don't know what they're talking about. He gave me an RMA and waived the restocking fee, so I just have to pay a couple bucks to ship it and I'm gonna order this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148148 same price, but it matches what the specs on the mobo say.
intel and amd used to be workable back in the socket 7 days....
I wish they would train the Customer Service people at places. At one point, I had a blonde on the phone, and she said "What? Is that the wrong slot? Ok, well try the blue slot!". My god, it was like I was talking to a monkey.
