are acer's new products still junk like their old stuff?

I've had an Acer Travelmate 5520g (19GHz, ATI 2400 XT, 2GB RAM, 160GB HDD) for 4 and a half years now.
Still running just fine.
Missing a couple of screws from the bottom but that's all my fault. :v:
Also bought a 23" display from Acer 5 months ago and it is just awesome.
Ace is fine. E-machines Aka the desktop I own the can max crysis with just a GPU upgrade, is the cheap stuff. So far the only thing that's died is the onboard soundcard, but a 30 buck rocketfish pci soundcard fixed that problem. I mean, it came from the factory with a 2.8 ghz intel CPU, 4 gb of ram, and a 1tb hdd. Other than my hd5770 and the psu, it was already made for power. I'm disturbingly pleased with this cheap pc and I love it to death.
I have an Acer 23" monitor that works good, had it about 2 years now, I thought I saw a dead pixel a few weeks ago but it's gone now
My Acer Aspire 8930-6306 was running great for about 2.5 years, but after that it started getting overheating problems in games. I can use it normally (as in, web browsing and some light games) perfectly fine, but playing intense games for a while causes slowdowns, and finally a shutdown.
Sounds like you just need better fans
I'm still seeing ACER laptops (core 2 stuff) come in to get their hinges replaced. They are about as bad as the hinges in HP's DV laptops.
nothing is as bad as the hinges on a DV, had to replace the same hinge twice in a year, AND the screen itself on my moms DV9000, also, I find ACER monitors to not be bad at all, sure theres better, but you can do worse
my friend has a dv6 and it feels solid. acers seem to be better
the keyboard is all sticky, like someone poured coke all over it.
It's not acer's fault that your dad has a masturbation issue
I have an eMachines right now, it's really good actually, compared to their older stuff.
